The drones hardware is not valuable. It is just a winged prop plane with a camera. You can't reverse engineer chip fabs by holding a single in chip your hand. Unfortunately, they have already recovered from the deep the unlucky spy drone's poor remnants, as there was a special submarine immediately sent to the spot and caught the device in a big net and towed to the navy port. However always pretening that nothing has been recovered. They are not trustworthy.

It is just a winged prop plane with a camera. You can't reverse engineer chip fabs by holding a single in chip your hand. You would need to reverse engineer the machines and infrastructure to make them. China and Russia would be world leaders in chip manufacturing right now if that was possible. Spoiler, they aren't.

reverse engineering tech isn't hard, manufacturing it is. They can already made a copy if they wanted, but they don't have a larger system ( physical and software) to implement it. The only thing to worry about is the intel we gathered and that is gone now.

I could use very strong magnets that will stick to your drone and capture it using remote control parachutes so the drone could land safety or i could use a chopper with another big magnet hanging to catch your drone in the air. What really happened to that drone was harassed and bullied by the Russian pilot. The US should retaliate in the same manner should the opportunity occur in the future. The drone of this expensive should be escorted by their fighter jets in this type of mission which very close to the war zone, the US commander in this area should know about the possible danger of any type of reconnaissance mission. This isn't a thousand dollar drone it must be protected every time it flies.

The Russians, in record time, sent to the sea a technological drone without touch it. That is just amazing! (The Russian S27 had has an intestinal problem and felts to blow up something, so, delivered a powerful gas killing a expensive tractor).
