Always partial to a Zinger tower box meal personally. Also, don't forget most of these restaurants are franchises, so quality can vary wildly in your local branch compared to others around.

In the UK Sprite is only lemonade in the same way that all fizzy drinks can be referred to as lemonade. But when it comes to lemon drinks, we have the clear fizzy stuff, cloudy fizzy stuff and the still fresh stuff…all of which are readily available in supermarkets. There is also lemon flavoured iced tea too.

I went to a KFC in Orlando from the UK to try the chicken Pie and also ordered the chicken Tenders Meal. Then had the Lemonade. we need the US Lemonade in the UK! Also we used to have Honey BBQ sauce back in the early 2000 as I used to work in a KFC.

An idea for an episode would be to do sauce comparisons between chains, so try out everyone's bbq sauce, or everyone's ranch or honey mustard, figure out which one's are the unhealthiest, best tasting, etc., maybe provide some tidbits regarding sauces in the US vs. UK, given that there's a difference (US sauces at McDs, BK,etc. basically free, UK sauces not so much).

What the US calls Lemonade we in the UK call Traditional Lemonade or Cloudy Lemonade, its got a reputation of being an old fashioned drink like Ginger Beer or Dandelion and Burdock. One thing that is more hip is Pink Lemonade which is traditional lemonade with added Raspberry juice.

@@ghostrider115 My point was about the brands, not the taste. 7UP, Sprite, Sierra Mist, Starry, they're all lemon lime sodas. Sprite is a Coca-Cola product and the rest belong to PepsiCo. It's just confusing why PepsiCo needs two versions of a lemon lime soda.

Usually when a product belongs to different parent brands in different countries, it's a matter of distribution issues or needing another country's in-house brand due to laws or historical situations like wars. I'll have to research 7UP's origins now. Okay so, edit. Keurig Dr. Pepper owns the formula for 7UP but, aside from its home nation the US, PepsiCo distributes it worldwide. The whole thing about lithium is also interesting so if you're a research nut like me, definitely give it a read.

Back in the 90s KFC did have chicken wings I remember because my dad used to buy them for the big football game. They noticed a decline in the early 2000s and decided to switch. I do miss the mild or medium buffalo wings they had.

I used to love the famous bowl as a child. It was cheap and filled me up and gave me everything I wanted - a biscuit for a good price. I don't like it as much now as I got older. The chicken pot pie is amazing though.

KFC is a childhood memory. My grandmother always wanted me to go buy it when my parents were out of town and I was staying with her. It was a once a year treat and guilty pleasure. Still only eat it maybe once or twice a year but it always tastes just like I remembered. You guys failed to mention the Cole slaw! Love KFC’s sweet but peppery coleslaw!

Right now in Canada we have a chicken sandwich topped with Kraft Dinner (your version of Kraft Mac & Cheese); I had one yesterday and it was so good! For $16.99 plus tax it also came with fries, a drink, a small popcorn chicken and a side of extra KD. It was so good!

I love KFC tenders, but they are so ridiculously expensive now (and they are so inconsistently sized) that I only get them when they have a special on them. And I prefer KFC’s spicy chicken sandwich to Popeyes. However, I prefer spicy chicken sandwiches to have spicy breading (CfA and Wendy’s) vs. just a spicy sauce added to a regular chicken sandwich (KFC, Popeyes and McD’s).

because of health reasons i can no longer eat KFC chicken, apparently I'm allergic to some of the stuff they use in the chicken breading, and despite nearly causing me a huge medical emergency when I asked for ingredients to give to my doctor, they refused point blank, haven't touched a KFC item in about 6 years at this point, but something I used to like years ago was what they called a 'big daddy burger' it was a large piece of original recipe chicken, mayo/lettuce, hash brown 'tower' and bacon with a couple of layers of cheese, used to cost £5.50 at that time, and made a great box meal option (box meal was the burger plus large fries/large drink/large side) and would normally cost ~£11 at the time.

18:12 When used to work in a town with a KFC, I would get a "heart-attack bowl" for the sake of convenience and not wanting greasy fingers. Also, easy to eat while riding in a vehicle. Though, I generally prefer the pot pie if I have time to let it cool.

I did try the Famous Bowl for the first time yesterday. A plus I found is: it has a combination of things I like. Did seem like something about it needed to be adjusted. Maybe breaded chicken shouldn't been in there because the breading loses the crisp, so the chicken pieces without the breading in the mashed potatoes and gravy probably would've been better, another thing is the unusual combo of corn and cheese. I do like corn in mashed potatoes, and I do like cheese in mashed potatoes. Corn with cheese isn't bad, just might not usually combine those two.

We never go to KFC but my kids will occasionally ask for a famous bowl and I will make them at home. It's really easy if you use instant or leftover mashed potatoes and then you can add as much chicken as you want.

I like the bowls. I don’t get it with corn, but as someone who doesn’t like bone in chicken they didn’t have many options when I was growing up without bones. Now they have nuggets, but for a long time my local kfc wouldn’t sell the popcorn chicken by itself and would only sell them in the bowls.

back in 2019 pre-covid the chicken was amazing, always crispy and there was an 18pc bargain bucket (or 16) for an amazing price. the last time i got kfc, 8 out of 12 pieces of my chicken were BLACK, BURNT and just BONES that would just crumble into nothing as i bit into them. i never got kfc ever after that.

I get friend chicken from my local (much cheaper and small business owner operated) joint and put KFC seasoning on it (brother used to work there and brought home a 5lb bag of seasoning). I've never eaten KFC in the states and not gotten physically ill (way too much residual fry oil on the breading) I have also not eaten KFC more than 6 times since they changed their gravy recipe in the 80's. KFC went from good enough to eat even though the grease will make you puke to 2nd tier frozen fried chicken in quality, and the sides never recovered from the loss of a good gravy.
