I know you're joking but it's kinda false saying there's no use of the metric system here in America. It's *partially* used. In nearly all of consumables there's an alternative gram measurement on the side of our ounce and pound weight. Liters are common sizes of soda bottles, there's one liter bottles, the very common two liter, only mL is uncommon but is shown on the packaging. So we partially use metric weight measurements but I've yet to see any metric measurements of dimensions (length, height, etc) used.

@Ghotyo Locanisyn Fogle was arrested and plead guilty on two counts: distribution of receipt of child pornography and traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. He was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months of prison in 2015, a fine of $175,000, the forfeiture of $50,000 in assets, and $1.4 million in restitution. Fogle will also be on supervised release for the rest of his life. As it's now 2020, Fogle is still in federal prison for his transgressions. He won't be eligible for release until 2028, when he will have served 13 years of his sentence. It's safe to say we likely won't be hearing from Fogle for quite some time now, and Subway has cut all ties with him.

The local deli I worked at used to do 3-6 foot subs for catering and they were even much wider and heftier bread. I would say its about the width of two normal subs and almost twice as high. A 3 foot platter would be probably cut into 2-3 inch long chunks that were then cut in half because of the width of the bread made it so that not cutting it in half would just be a bit too large. It made around 25-30 pieces total from what I remember. Making 6 foot subs was a ton of meat and veggies and if they wanted it cut it was a ton of pieces, but it was much more manageable than keeping it in one piece. Although for our 6 foot sub we would at least cut it in half as delivering one 6 foot sandwich wasn't really manageable.
