This 1994 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS team was technically, and chronologically, really "Dream Team 2". Most people get confused with the term "Dream Team 2" bec there was a "Dream Team 2 IN THE 1996 OLYMPICS". So The 1996 team would be technically, and chronologically, "Dream Team 3". Anyway, this 1994 "World Championships Dream Team 2" was coached by Don Nelson. The12 NBA All-Stars were: Derrick Coleman Joe Dumars Kevin Johnson Larry Johnson Shawn Kemp Dan Majerle Reggie Miller (also played in the 1996 Olympics) Alonzo Mourning (also played in the 2000 Olympics with Vince Carter) Shaquille O'Neal (also played in the 1996 Olympics) Mark Price Steve Smith Dominique Wilkins

This team was pretty much forgotten and overshadowed by the 92 & 96 in those era. This team deserved some love too. On paper, people might think this is inferior team but for me these team was solid af. I think this team has a deep rotation of Center and Forward. They had Kemp, young Shaq, Zo and Larry Johnson who'd been scary good together. Coleman was a beast, he could be the next Barkley if he didn't hindered by injury when I see his performance in that competition. Their guard such as Reggie, Price, KJ & Dan Majerle were legit efficient. Even Steve Smith was still great at the time. Remember when Steve was supposed to be "the next Jordan" even before Penny & Grant Hill? Pretty sure he could if it wasn't for his injury as well. Wilkins was out of his prime but he was still in a good shape. I think this was the last time he did a great job with the team he played with. Very underrated team with a bunch of underrated player who'd still motivated, loaded, injury free and in a good shape in their career during this time. However, I can tell the only player that found a big success and had a big season in their career in before & after this were Dumars, Shaq and Zo. Dumars won 2 ring with Pistons before, Shaq later won a ring in 2000s with Lakers & Heat and Zo with heat in 06 later. The rest were very unlucky, struggled to carried the weak franchise team in entire league and some of them were suffered by injury and never bounce back. I believe these team were better than at least those Olympic 2000 team. Not sure if these team could beat the current team who won 2021 Olympic though but I believe this team can do better in defense and offensive end

I am sick and tired of viewing/listening to claims that the "so called" "Dream Team" was the greatest put-together team of all-time. Arguably, the NBA All Stars of the 1960's - Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Bob Pettit, Sam Jones, John Havlichek (among so many other supremely talented NBA players) would be a formidable, maybe insurmountable, foe for the "Dream Team".
