A. Felix ran 200/400 double, followed by 4×1 and finally 4×4 ,all in one single competition. What a legend!! I have regards for this great woman. She was kept very busy throughout. Very few athletes can be so involved like AFelix. Please join me to appreciate her. She's given a lot to world athletics. She's a great motivator, encourager and achiever.
@ramlangoddos44253 жыл бұрын
She is definitely going to be etched as a legendary sprinter in the world championships and the Olympics.
Allyson Felix is the most decorated track and field athlete in history. With a record 20 World Championship medals and 11 medals at the Olympic Games - including seven golds - she ranks among the sport's greats. She is currently 38 years old and in my humble opinion, she’s a living legend.

Did the announcer actually say “mouthwatering quartet” at 1:07? Perhaps “uber talented quartet” or “dominant performing quartet” would have been more appropriate. Either way, can’t help but respect and admire the talent and dedication of each athlete.
@normanlinden57863 жыл бұрын

I am SOOOOO glad Mcorory wasn't on the relay final team in Rio, look at how she fades here towards the end. Just like at the 2015 Worlds. I will say she DID run an excellent leg in the relay heats. If she ran more controlled like that, she would win much, much more.
@succubusx877 жыл бұрын
omg I'm a huge fan of francena . I do agree on you on how she does fade towards the end. if she just ran a smarter 200-300 she would do so much better in the final stretch. I was so sad she was edged off at 2015 worlds. if she pushed towards the very end she would win every race.

The post-race commentary was skewed by of all people, an American commentator, possibly Michael Johnson, double Olympic and World Champion. There was nothing "iffy" in the selection of U.S. sprinters or their chosen order of relay running. The team veterans and individual champions Allyson Felix and Sanya Richards-Ross contributed the dominant performances their athletic stature suggested they would, thereby leading to a solid victory.

This 2011 USA team was pretty good with all four runners in their prime, especially Richards-Ross and Felix. The winning time of 3:18.11 would've beaten the USA 4x400 team in Doha 2019. That 2019 team had McLaughlin, Francis and current world record holder Muhammad, and won in 3:18.92 with a winning margin of about 30 meters. Arguably, McLaughlin hasn't hit her prime yet in 2019. But the 2011 team would've beaten the 2019 team by about 7 meters which is amazing considering how scary good the 2019 team was.
