On one hand, it sucks that this set was so limited. On the other hand: I'm VERY happy with my regular old single packed Usagi. I mean it is just leaps and bounds above some of Playmate's recent figures. If the toyline is winding down, we're going out with a bang.

Hunting the usagi figures is like finding hot wheels treasure hunts.. The blue usagi is like a super treasure hunt. The muckman is super rare!!

As one who liked to read I love that easy access to the book feature. The fig is what I wish Playmates would do at retail atleast on accessories but I digress.

It is very rare because its only 1 figure per box. And i got lucky after working at walmarts for the night because they set a box out to be worked that day. Not to many avid TMNT collectors around my area it seems compared to Marvel Legends, DC Multiverse, etc. So its good for hunting at least. Im also not a very big fan of SUPER rare characters everyone wants because id like more ppl to get the ones they want.

Everyone that wants a Usagi should just get the 'adult collectible' one that came out in the 90's that was available at comic book stores. It's still short (not THIS short) and it's definitely better quality than this. Quite interesting that Dan use that one to compare it to this one, or even mention it. I just don't remember the name of the company that made it. They have the regular version and another one that had a glow-in-the-dark dinosaur.

The one thing that bugs me on the figure is the sword sheaths. They are so big and klunky. Otherwise, I think even the retail version is a lot better than any of the other figures in the Playmates TMNT line, in terms of sculpt and painting. I wonder if I can get my hands on this guy here in Belgium. Usagi is pretty damn obscure here as far as I know.

He's cool, but yeah he's way too limited. The secondary market prices are over $150 at this point. I agree about the face too, they should have painted the angry mouth. Nice review🐇

Nice review Dan I hope the heads become available somewhere down the line, I've yet found any version of Usagi in my area. One question about this and the basic version, is the lower arm the same part as the basic foot clan upper arm part? The mold looks similar.

Not a crit if you Dan, but this debacle created a president where only scalpers or lucky individuals like reviewers benefit from the advantage of the set. People need to respectfully let Nick know that they need to let the rest of us have a chance at this set. Allow Playmates to manufacture more n offer them exclusively at Nick Store, TRU, Amazon or something.

Considering most of Playmates TMNT toy line is mediocre at best. Playmates shouldn't be playing the "exclusive" hard-to-get game with a product that is targeted at adult collectors. Anyway, won't be long before this set is available from Chinese sellers on eBay - at MSRP...
