Usagi Yojimbo is a criminally underrated comic. I got into it recently and can say I have been thoroughly impressed by every bit I've read so far. It's like comic book caviar. A gourmet treat.In my top 5 favorite comics of all time: 1) One Piece 2) Usagi Yojimbo 3) Berserk 4) Billy Bat 5) Spawn

Wow cool list. One piece is my favorite. Usagi yojimbo also my favorite. Read it for years. I only have up to volume 14 or 15 though. Im so behind. I so happy there is love for it. Also im from da islands like Stan lol

When my daughter was very young, she was obsessed with Usagi. She made a coaster of him out of pearler beads, and gave it to Stan at the Chicago ComiCon. He drew her a picture, and personalized it for her. She still has it today, more than 20 years later, and it is one of her treasured possessions.

I love his style! Yojimbo and the Animal world he built and the crossovers with TMNT is what I loved about Indy comics of the 80’s-90’s. I too a Boomer with my hobby, still using ink and paper, I need to feel the scratch on the surface as I draw otherwise it feels to me as a soulless endeavor.

i missed the first few issues for this comic but i'm getting the book version when it comes out the art. i've seen for this is amazing and I've love japans culture and animals this is a comic for me i've been slowly learning Japaneses, one of my dreams is to visit japan and hopeful live for a time.

I got into your comic books by some German editions in my local library in Eggenfelden, over 30 years ago. It’s still one of my favorite comics and the no1 edition and The Art HC are treasured possessions.

I would love to see Stan Sakai writing an Usagi Yojimbo manga, one day. When it comes to who mangaka would draw it, I know that probably the best choice would be Paru Itagaki (Beastars), for obvious reasons, but I would much rather prefer either Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin) or Koyoharu Gotouge (Demon Slayer). I think Usagi Miyamoto would look so cool and badass drawn in either Watsuki's or Gotouge's artstyles.
