You can never have Usain Bolt aka Hugo in a race and call another athlete the favorite. Bolt is always the favorite even if he’s not in top form cuz he delivers all the time on the biggest stage when it matters most #Legend 🐐

@@asphetto LOL what's wrong w being average or mediocre or living a normal life. A handful of ppl in life think they will be something special, such as yourself, but they just live disillusion, false hopes. Bolt was born w a natural talent that majority of us will never have. What's wrong w not liking him, simply don't like his attitude, its ga.

@@frankc3080 I never said anything was wrong. I never said I was special , you’re just making assumptions. This is typical amongst empty barrels. Bolt is talented like you rightly said but he worked on his talent, if he never worked on his talent he wouldn’t be where he was today.

Yes it is, Chakka. I think they are being overly sensitive. No one forgot about Bailey. But that was AGES ago. We haven't seen great male sprinters from Canada in a LONG while. We saw great female hurdlers since then, but nothing on the men's side. It wasn't an insult to any of the great Canadian sprinters. But they, like me, were happy to finally see Canada back in the mix after so long an absence. Everyone is so unnecessarily sensitive.

What is important to note here about Bolt is: 1) He was not in top physical shape. He was injured for most of the year 2) He had very little match fitness. He ran only a handful of races 3) He tripped in the final just as he did in the semi though it wasn't as bad Despite all this, he still won posting a 9.79 while not looking his fluent best. I hope he stays injury free this year so we can see him at his best.

Everyone wants to find the secrets of Jamaican athletes. One thing I know is that people who eat Jamaican cooking love the superior taste of Jerk meats, soft-cooked OxTails, and Curried chicken and goat, etc. Jamaicans prepare their meats properly in 2 or 3 steps before finally cooking (The closest in flavor is Indian buffet). Food that pleases us fortifies body and mind, contributing to excellence.

Damn imagine Bolt was an NFL wide receiver, or a shooting guard In the NBA. His length along with his athleticism would make him ridiculous. I'm thinking if he can catch footballs well, he would burn DBs all day and out jump safeties easily. He will be deep threat every snap. Same length as Megatron but have the speed no other humans possess, he would be unstoppable.

Gatlin just gave away easy win. No lean was required, should have crossed the line with good technique and tall back :D
@JamaicanMeCrazy
@JamaicanMeCrazy 9 жыл бұрын
yup. his form shattered in the last 10-15 meters. considering the very very small margin he lost by, just makes you wonder
@baracusain12
@baracusain12 9 жыл бұрын
Go look what happened to him in 2012, 2013 (100m and relay). When that yellow vest pulled up beside him that's all he remembered. It Doesn't matter what form Bolt is in. Look at Gatlin comments, probably every sound bite there was mention of 2012, when Bolt exploded on them. He talked the talk, but inside he was nervous.
@martmuru
@martmuru 9 жыл бұрын
C Whiting Yes, because he din't have to lean at all, would have won 100% if just ran to the end with his normal technique. But no, had to do some tricks that clearly slowed him down but still lost only with 0.01s.
@martmuru
@martmuru 9 жыл бұрын
C Whiting 13:09 technique breaks down because of early lean and you can see that because of that technical mistake he slows down. Last 10m he was reaching and slowing down not sprinting. He was clearly in better form than Bolt but lost because of emotional reaction.
@martmuru
@martmuru 9 жыл бұрын

Classic example of mental strength over physical strength. Bolts mental dominance made up for his lack of fitness and Gatlins speed couldn't sustain because of his mental breakdown in the last meters.

malon chirara I can imagine that it must be difficult. Here is something that might be causing difficulty: Dictionaries give "a native of China" as one definition of "Chinese" as a noun, but American speakers don't use the word to refer to one person. I would never say "My doctor is a Chinese." I say "My doctor is Chinese." (This is an easy example because my doctor really is Chinese.)
