He's being scientific not just boasting too. Bolt is heavier and taller than his competition so he accelerates slowly but once he's moving in the second half of the race you can't touch him.

Ollie Wales They would have poor mechanics imo. Sprinters use the momentum of their arms a lot. In the first half they have to lean forward hard to accelerate so they would suffer off the blocks too.

my parents said to me going into highschool “we know that you are fast, but are you track fast?” and now as a sophomore i placed first in my conference and i am .11 away from nationals. i still remember one day my PE teacher told me during warmup laps dont try to catch up to calvin, you’re never gonna catch him.
