I worked with Lee in the border patrol. He never once mentioned he was an ncaa national champion. Very humble, hard working, unassuming, patriot. He coached my son and volunteered his time to the local wrestling community. He moved on to bigger and better things. He was the epitome of what a man should be.

The first tilt didn't meet the criteria for 2 points. And damn, the kid would've been awarded 3 or 4 stalling points in today's NCAA's. Folkstyle/Freestyle = Stalling vs. Can't just run and step out when convenient now.

Everyone bagging on Cael for stalling? ZERO leg attacks by Fullhart. An under-hook and a big butt does not constitute aggressive wrestling. Not sure why they consistently hit Cael for passivity whey neither wrestler would commit. Typical Iowa lovers.

Sanderson ran from him the whole 2nd period.
@patrickm74834 жыл бұрын
That bugged me too. It made it far less compelling. Although he earned his points, it was initially based on a counter to Fullhart, so it felt that he was really non-active most of the match. Of course, I'm not really knowledgeable, but just my opinion.
@patrickm74834 жыл бұрын
@Jay Lee I think that is a fair assessment. It is always tough to force the person that is winning to do something that could put them in a position of losing, and I didn't realize the more lax passivity rules at the time.

Is that David Taylor behind Sanderson's wife at 4:03? David Taylor wasn't even in highschool at this point in time. How can you be that connected that quickly. I mean, I get that David Taylor was a threetime jr. high state champion, but being that close to Sanderson at that age? I just want to know how, and suddenly it makes sense how Taylor was fucking everyone at a ridiculous level before he even got to college.
