It was a blindside block on a qb after an int. That will be called 100% of the time in every stadium. It was the right call according to the rules and it's for player safety.

@@pandemoniumreigns4267 it’s a complete judgment call by the official. And the fact that all 3 threw flags shows that they were in agreement. But how about the blocked punt? That was an obvious flag (launching yourself over the center and landing over him) which directly lead to 7 points for SC. On the blindside block South Carolina still got the ball, it’s not anyone’s fault that they completed 2 passes in the second half.

That was the definition of a blindside block - The NCAA enacted a new rule regarding the blindside block. They've banned "an open field block against an opponent that is initiated from outside the opponent’s field of vision, or otherwise in such a manner that the opponent cannot reasonably defend himself against the block.” Has nothing to do with him being a QB.
