Nice explainer video. It's a shame DJI gave up on their customers and stopped making these batteries. Can the TB48's be done in this same process as your have performed here? Thanks!

Still a great video, great job!! Need to figure out a better way to package the battery payload, maybe mimic the inspire 2 setup.

With all the trouble it still worth spending 200 for a new one

This is the first and only time I've seen this. Awesome job! The cheapest I've seen the tb47,48 for are 250 bucks.

Here’s a question for the community here: I have a “bad Lipo cell” according to the DJI app. It’s only .2 volts off from the others. The problem is the battery can’t self balance that variance. What I wanted to do was find a way to balance it on a Lipo balanced charger, but I made a terrible mistake when checking the pin layout in the power board (not the logic/smart board), you know the board all the batteries are soldered to. This TB47 battery has a total of 15 charges (including the 5 attempts to rebalance them). So anyway, I think my multimeter shirted the 7 pin connector on the power board, which results in the voltage reading for the coordinating cell to read half that it actually does, somewhere around 2 volts. How do I know I shorted it, well I felt it and I smell ozone :(. So I’ve got a fully functioning smart board just not reading accurate cell voltage. I can go a couple of ways with a solution. I could add leads and direct solder in the battery to the cable and cut off the connector, and put everything back together, this would leave me with a imbalance problem again. I could cut off the original connector add a balanced lead, and then create my own cable and put another balanced lead on the other side, this would allow me to plug it into a balanced charger if this happens again (leaning toward this direction.). The final idea is I cut my losses, and take the good cells and build my own Lipo pack and use it with other quads. I could then make this mod, utilizing the smart board and inspire 1 top and potentially fly my inspire 1 with drastically cheaper 6s batteries... thoughts?

Hello, excellent video. I write from Argentina, and I bought 2 5000ma batteries. To make the adaptation, could you be so kind as to explain to me how to do the reform, especially what to do with the temperature sensor. Or could you tell me some video forum or website where I can see the step by step of how to do it. From already thank you very much . a big greeting

If I add 3 more cells to a 3s mavic pro battery each one in parallel to the other this will double the mah . Will the battery computer know this and tell me on the app eg 3500mah is now 7000mah , can't find the info anywhere . I think it would work but want a second opinion before I destroy two batterys .thanks .

Excellent video Mr cruzroy you have spent considerable time to share 👍this with us all 😀 I'm presently filling my bag up with batteries and no doubt will be following your guidance to keep this awsome ship flying it tells us alot about DJI's attitude towards its customers they just want money 💰 that's what they want, unless our inspire was buried in the ground you would have thought they would have maintained a reasonable amount of back up to keep us flying with such a reliable well built flying machine and where not a cheap investment and find it very malicious to code the smart boards to lock out with a frickin password if you don't carefully step over any trap doors 👍 😉 anyway thanks Topman 😀 👍

Do you have to wire up the balance connector if you don't want to charge with the 2 blade connector? Does the circuit board use the balance plug to get data about the cells while flying?

I read that if you cut off the cells from the BMS the BMS blocks any usage forever. Is this correct or does it only apply to the inspire2? It supposed to be a safety feature so that you can't fly with a non 100% functional battery

i dont know about the inspire 2 i dont have 10,000 to purchase a whole flight kit, but untrue with I1, otherwise this would not be possible kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3LYkoBui8iWnNU

how would you edit the mah on the tablet after doing all this to tell you what you have instead of the fa tory head reading of the tb47
@CRUZROYHelicopters2 жыл бұрын
well first you need to discharge and recharge the battery your using, then change each cell mah, and total mah and one more, then you have to reset BB and reset battery, otherwise it will remember last battery...thats easy description

I've got a 9000 it keeps resetting to former battery head life when it gets low is there a way just to reset the battery head to read the 9000 again only

@@rayfrancis8171 yeah you cant go below 10% on batteries it will reset, that has not been solved yet

I got mine set to 11% on the battery and critical battery at 20% on my ipad settings what I meant is there a way to actually get into the settings of the battery to put it back to the 9000 by doing it myself

I did this but you can't reset the battery memory so it's a waste of time

Dazzling M you need to hook up battery run past 3% till the drone force lands. Keep it flying push up on stick till it lands itself. Don’t fly to high. About a foot is good. This works with all DJI drones. It how you recalibrate the board

Hello! You don't say anything about removing the limitations of the internal battery controller - resetting the number of cycles, for example. Just soldering an external battery is a piece of crap.
