Only if you want a lot of potassium it's totally different compost is a growing medium burnt ash is fertilizer that can change the pH of the soil

Ashes will Chand the ph of the soil. Research soil ph before doing t.hat some plants will not fruit/ grow healthy.

Here, those leaves literally blow off the tree and never hit the ground, and IF by chance you can procure leaves from elsewhere, they blow away if you try to use them as mulch 🤣😂😅

I collect cardboard squares from Costco pallets as I shop over the course of a month. I lay them over the leaves and put something heavy over then. Works like a charm. In the early spring I pull them off and find zillions of worms going to town on what's left of the leaves.
