I love watching you do this! It hopefully will help me think outside of the box, especially with my scraps!

how cool!! I love how you're using the huge hexagon to pull them all together- can't wait to see what more of them look like all together.

That looks very cool, indeed. I once made a backing from all my orphan blocks but worked in squares and strips building bigger and bigger. The hexi shape pulls everything together very nicely.

So much fun watching you make your interesting orphan blocks into modern, non-symetrical, unexpected hexagons. I love hearing you explain your thinking on each one. BTW the red one is beautiful. Keep on thinking outside the box(square). Thanks for another great video.

Thank you so much for this video! It is a great way to pull together all those "orphan " blocks. I DO love the hexie with the red and thing it will be a highlight in your finished quilt. Can't wait to follow along as you complete this quilt😊

Incredibly clever! I have some panels that I don't like much which could be chopped up and given this treatment. Thank you so much for this idea.

I think I’m going to try this with triangular elements added to 4 sides to make rectangular blocks; easier to piece together. My blocks are very busy so I might use solid triangles for background elements. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

So clever and to my eye they become dimensional when finished. I have to try this.

For the size of those hexagons, they'd actually make really nice placemats 😊

Very cool idea to turn into a hezi, I am doing a quilt sewing themed with a slightly larger hexi than u, alternating a selvage edge covered hexi with a sewing themed hexi. Can’t wait to see yours. Greet inspiration.

❤ this idea. I happen to have that hexagon ruler, and have never used it. I also have hundreds of crumb blocks, so might very well try experimenting with your idea and see what happens.
