I agree, Henry. We can all feel a little drab or unmotivated from time to time. That's life, isn't it? Don't be hard on yourself. You bounce back quite nicely. Boy, I sure loved this outing. What a beautiful part of the park this is. So tranquil, so glorious. I quite enjoyed it. And thanks for the advice about taking the "normal" outings and using them to build up experience, knowledge, etc. You're right, it helps you down the line. Take care, Henry. Out from So Cal!

I love these more subtle images, an amazing sunset/sunrise is great but it’s a really good photographer that can take images like these at other times of the day. Totally get the whole people thing, being constantly ‘on’ can be tiring.

This pandemic we have been through has a lot to answer for, but for me, getting out with my camera helps my mental health a lot, yesterday I went for a hike along the Berwickshire coast, got some decent photos which made me feel good.

I totally am with you on the first part of the video. I get peace just being alone with my camera, it’s the only company I need sometimes. Great advice to other newer photographers too, with regard to just getting out and enjoying the experience of just taking photos and being outdoors. Loved the images that you took.

It truly is the highlight of the KZbin week when the new Henry Turner Video lands What a spectacular location And I cannot be the only one exhausted just watching old H.T. hiking up there Ha! Excellent scrambled Henry, i’ve never been up that way. I agree with you about summer, a lot of people struggle with it but I think in the Lake District in the evening the greens become a zingy golden yellow and are as good as autumn. The problem really is the difficulty in getting up early enough or staying up late, Especially when you have a small child ☹️

The lone tree image is, for me, to die for.. So much texture and great separation from the fab moody backdrop.. I appreciate this and the last video, you have done, about a... not worrying about always having to get that "epic" shot... that and the advise about dealing with summer photography, and sunlight.... i'm planning an august trip to the Waterton national park in Alberta, and your video's about appreciating your own back yard, making the most of the conditions that do present themselves, and look for frames in the landscape are really inspiring me...

Loved the layers in the first image Henry, was very nice indeed. Also wise words at the end about learning and managing expectations. Social media can portray a reality that is detached from what many of us experience but I try and take something away from each venture out with the camera and let the keepers occur in their own time

Some good lessons here and the image containing the sheepfold blew my socks off! Would love to get back into the Lake District Fells but at 67 and with arthritic knees I have to face reality - probably not going to happen unless it's low level valley walks. :-(

Thanks for the great video as ALWAYS, I do have a question, I was taken some pics of a eagle that was on the coast and it was very foggy, my picture came out OK but the fog was blown out, WHITE background handheld telephoto lens. any ideas how I could have taken the picture with the background looking better?

Hi Mr Turner I enjoy watching your great videos here on KZbin may I ask when you are shooting outside on a bright day with your Nikon D7200 do you experience problems viewing the image on the camera screen. I have a Sony DSC HX60V and it is hopeless outside can't see what you are shooting. I have been thinking of upgrading to a Nikon D7200. Keep up the good work with your video content great stuff.

I'm an introvert as well, so I'm not too crazy about lots of socializing eighter 😅 But now they want to maybe lock us up again and I am annoyed by that. We're going to Luxembourg in 4 weeks, I don't need the government to ruin that for us.. But what a beautiful location again, I doubt I would have survived getting up there with a heavy camera bag though! 🤣

i really appreciate the quality of your videos. Little things like the scratched record sound as you cut to the chewing sheep. And 3 different angles of you crossing a style - this must take a lot of time and effort that is invisible to the viewer!
