I just wanted to tell you both how much this technique, along with the technique you demonstrated in your "Use This Incredible Drill To Master Your Bowling Release!" video, has DRASTICALLY changed my game!! My rotation is soooo much better and my revs have increased so much that I'm generally starting 3-4 boards more left than normal. I can't thank you enough for these 2 videos!!

I'm getting back into bowling after 15 years. I've bowled A LOT (Like 200 games per week for years) when I was younger, went pro but was terrible professionally, but I think this video is on point. You gotta set yourself up for power and I think this is what the video is truly embracing. The one thing I want to add and I hope this helps anyone is finger pressure at the point of release. I've worked with Billy Hall a lot (again ages ago). He told me if you want to fire it up the gutter, lead with your index finger. If you want to go around the lane, lead with your ring (like Pete Weber). He told me to play with it. My buddy told me to lead with my thumb and you'll get rev rates like Chris Barnes, but absolutely your speed will decrease so you'll need a more aggressive swing. The beauty behind the idea is that you literally have 0 grab at the bottom of the swing so you can project the ball properly and still get the desired rotation. Clearing the heads consistently is probably the most important thing. Always throw the ball forward. (I know this sounds stupid / common sense, but I see bowlers a lot not doing this). 0 grab! Walter ray starts with his position on the right side of the ball. Loose muscles are important. Being under the ball in the entire swing, at least for me, makes me feel tense

It’s so funny cause I was watching this video while eating and got up out of my chair to do this and you are completely right. I instantly wanted to point the stick down, corrected myself to point it upwards and I can feel the tension in my arms. can’t wait to try this out at the alley thank you so much.

This is something I’ve worked on the past 2yrs. I’ve gone up almost 35pins in avg by staying more behind the ball. I had issues of coming around the side and that led to wild fluctuations in scores.

This was a great video but it did confuse me just a bit. You both talked about having the stick point up a bit in the back swing apex but at the end he kept talking about it being horizontal all the way though. Which is it? Lastly please do a video on thumb fit and grip. All this and I can't use any of it until I can bowl again. I tore my RCL and one of the tendons in my elbow by not warming up and throwing a ball in practice on league night. They tell me that I shouldn't have felt a pop in my elbow lol. I bowled 3 more weeks like that. Shot 600 two weeks but the last I really felt the pain and shot 579. So I am thinking of bowling left handed and applying this knowledge until I can bowl right handed again in a year.

Pretty much, there are way too many commercials advocating gambling in media today. I'm not sure when the change happened, but it did. Frankly, I would hope that Brad & Kyle would reject such advertisements. It's not a good look, especially since you're supposed to be role models for the next generation of bowlers. Great video but overall, however, I am disappointed in the channel for taking the casino ad. I understand they need advertisers to grow the channel but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I have practiced the same movement with keeping a towel in my armpit but the stick idea is excellent. Great job coach. My question is how to perform this movement as well as the yo-yo release? The arm bending and yo-yo release needs a relaxed arm but it seems difficult to accomplish while keeping that elbow against your body during the arm swing. I would love to see the breakdown of that arm swing described in this video combined with the bended elbow and yo-yo release. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Just did this drill briefly for the first time with a pen, I don't have a problem keeping it level, from watching video of myself, I am able to keep the wrist in a good position with a weightless item, but with a bowling ball my wrist tends to "break" at the top of the swing and as it begins it's descent, gotta work on that still.

Ok first off I was very impressed with the video, but I’m a little confused with the hanger position. When you bring it up to the back position, are you aiming for it to rise a little or remain horizontal? At first it sounded like you wanted the hanger to point upward a little bit, but toward the end, it sounded like you wanted to keep it horizontal through the whole swing
@MF-xc6wb
@MF-xc6wb Ай бұрын
I think for concentration purposes, goal is horizontal. It’s also okay, to have a bit of tilt when he described it, looked like, 0-45 degrees in angle from camera view, at the top of the swing.

Love the B&K videos a lot! And they have helped my game. But having ads for Gambling sites.... so many lives ruined by gambling. And gambling slots are the worst... Slots are designed to hook ppl with small adrenaline boost while slowly draining your funds and hooking you into spending more. Slots might have a on-paper high return / win rate, but since it's lower than what u invest, u will always lose in the end (just more slowly)... The more u play, the more u lose. The house always wins.
