Hi Daniel, I have a question if you have a design that you think would work on a mug, Print, and T-shirts do you have to create 3 different listings for that one design? Also if you want to sell it in the UK and the US do you need to list the design again separately using a printify company from the US and from the UK. Find this a bit confusing. Plus is it recommended to have multiple shops so you don't have one shop with loads of different styles?

Thank you so much for this video and the GRID!!! -- I am a visual learner - even better when I have a piece of paper in front of me rather than just the pc screen. I made 3 blank copies in addition to the grid you filled in with the different categories. So enjoy your videos, thank you.

I've had an interest to begin a POD store (t-shirts, hoodies, etc) on Etsy for a while, but I'm having difficulty understanding the platform. I have heard from so many people saying that the best way to begin a new account on Etsy is to Niche down your store for SEO purposes. Can you have several stores (niches) on one account? Or… Do you have to make a separate account for each store (niche)? I've already got several designs created and ready to go, but they're not all in the same niche.

Hey! There's definitely a lot to consider there, so I understand where you're coming from! You do not necessarily need separate stores for different niches - a lot of sellers have what they call 'general stores', where they sell products across different niches. It is an option! I personally do think that the best way to get started is to pick a specific subniche (or any combination from the mix 'n' match framework in this video) and to try this out. But my biggest advice for you would be to just simply give it a try! Create a store, upload your designs and make sure they are optimized for SEO, and then see what happens! You can always refine and make adjustments further down the line. Hope this makes sense :-)

Great Channel! Could you do a video on IOSS numbers for POD? I'm not sure if I can sell to European countries outside of the UK without the customer paying extra tax/VAT. Would be hugely appreciated by a lot of people!

I’m glad you’re finding it helpful! And yes, I’ve had a few questions around IOSS and am planning a video around this for the near future. Let me know if you have any other international selling-related questions or challenges you’d like some help with as well 😊

Hey. Thanks so much for your videos Daniel. Can you let me know something. I'm just starting my first Etsy store and seen you say your sales are 95% in US Market even though you're from UK. I am using Printify POD and living in UK. When I sell on Etsy do I have to set my store to target US market or will it do it on it's own? Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work mate. x

Sorry for the late reply! And thanks a lot for your kind words. It's great to hear you're starting your first Etsy store! Diving into the world of Etsy and Print on Demand (POD) can be really exciting, and targeting the right market is a crucial step. Your store’s visibility in different markets, including the US, doesn't require you to specifically set your store to target the US market. The only thing you need to make sure of is that your shipping profiles are set up to ship to the US. I've got a bit more detail around the best approach around this in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iobaZKtrpJxlmMk Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Daniel, do you think a niche or general store works best. I’ve had my store now since the summer and I’ve only got three sales, I’ve got a general store, which is consistent with lovely looking mock ups and and good SEO (I have done my research) but still not getting sales. I am getting at least 10/15 views or more some days, and visits. I have sweatshirts and T-shirts, hoodies blankets and pillows. All lovely designed really good mock ups, so the store front looks really good in my eyes ! Haha. It’s nice and neat but still not getting anywhere. Any ideas do I need to just go for a niche or shall I keep it general, really appreciate your help. Thank you Danni 😊

Hi Danni, Thanks for reaching out! Considering your situation with a well-presented general store but limited sales, it's time to be a bit more strategic. Try this: hone in on the elements within your general store that resonate the most with your audience. If certain designs or products are getting more views, those are your potential gold mines. Focus on expanding these successful elements across different product categories in your store. Remember, it's all about identifying and amplifying what works. Analyze your store data for patterns or standout products and use those insights to guide your approach. Mix ‘n’ Match is about flexibility and responding to what your customers love. Keep experimenting, and don't be afraid to refine your strategy as you gather more insights!

Thank you this is helpful! I'm doing t-shirts and sweatshirts to start. The store front definitely looks better/more consistent when I stick to one kind of style like more vintage or more graphic style tees, but I want to do a bit of all the styles so I'll see if I can make it work :) You can tell the difference when you scroll through someone's shop and it has a "feel" to it.
