Raphael, how are you learning Turkish in the Philippines? I want to learn too.

@@culinista I simply watch the videos of Easy Turkish and Turkishle. There are also useful apps, such as Tandem and HelloTalk which lets you practice languages you are learning.

Great lectures, thanks! But one annoying drawback: the English subtitles do NOT match the Turkish subtitles before them. Therefore, they are useless for understanding Turkish words. And one more request: do the text of the lecture in the comments, please!
@EasyTurkish2 жыл бұрын
The difference in the word order of Turkish and English makes it hard for us to match subtitles, especially in long sentences 😕 Also you can reach full transcripts with subscribing us on Patreon. In addition, you will reach to exercises and much more! www.patreon.com/easyturkish

@EasyTurkish2 жыл бұрын
"Yan anlam" is quite similar to a homonym, but there is a difference. Normally, the morphological similarity between a pair of homonyms is purely coincidential. "Yan anlam", on the other hand, is a word that was originated from another word but eventually took on another meaning.

@@EasyTurkish çok teşekkür ederim! Ve çekmecenin gözü nedir aslında? Çekmece - drawer, 'çekmece gözü' de aynı, drawer?

Metaphoric meanings shouldn't be under super easy Turkish,it should be under really damn difficult turkish. I UNDERSTOOD NOTHING

@ControlledCha0s2 жыл бұрын
@@jeremyemilio9378 Oh ok, now I understand better what you mean. I don't think you're an idiot, nor that your Turkish is crap. Turkish, like any language, can be quite complex, and hearing it spoken relatively rapidly can make it seem harder than it is, of course. I would suggest watching it several times, perhaps even lowering playback speed so that you can read and listen to what's being said more comfortably, and then, once you feel more confident about it, you can try watching the video again, at normal speed. That can help a lot, trust me.

@@ControlledCha0s idk why I understood German within just a few months but Turkish has been going nowhere
@ControlledCha0s2 жыл бұрын
@@jeremyemilio9378 Maybe German is closer to your mother tongue (?). It may also have to do with how motivated you are to learn Turkish, or the method you're using. What's more, German and Turkish are not entirely dissimilar, but not identical, either, in terms of how they work, and again, if German is closer to your mother tongue, or to a foreign language you already know well, it's only to be expected that progress in Turkish will go more slowly, but don't let that discourage you.

This is interesting from a linguistic point of view. But 'Super Easy Turkish' it is emphatically NOT.
