Yamaha Genos 2 is an absolute power house when it comes to using it to create big movie sounds and "wow" factor pieces.

Yamaha should hire this person and make him the highest paid marketing specialist because no other demo including the official yamaha videos demonstrated this beautifully...

You are so absolutely right, Leigh - the Genos 2 is SO much more than a sequencer could ever be, hands down.

I can see the genius of those who create these instruments and those who play them!

Bend down on your knees. This is the video that bears no refutation. All new sounds are in: the flute, the guitar, the new timpani, the full strings, the horns. This video sells the machine. Just out of interest: Did some "Epic Strings" have sneaked in? Gorgeous work, Leigh.

I am amazed by Genos 2 like you, but unfortunately I am not so talented like you. In the other hand I am lucky to have Genos 2 and it is really a pleasure to explore its endless possibilities. There is no day I do not play on Genos 2! Today I finally set up my Grand Painos and Upright voices to play them with my old Korg Stage Piano SP-500 (connected to Genos 2 through MIDI cables) and hear them properly on my Yamaha HS7 Monitors. What a sound! Lately I have a pleasure to play some Gladiator soundtrack with backing voices set on my Registry Memory with changing its volume by FC7 foot pedal.On the second pedal I set a huge drum hit, something similar to your "gong" :D I try also a live video and sound capturing to be able to share some of my playing with friends and family. As far I still did't try style creator, while I still uncover all these styles and play live with or without any automatic accomp. Even without automatic accomp. there is so many possibilities to play on Genos 2. Thank you for all your videos. They are full of joy, inspiration and knowledge shared to us. Greetings from Poland!

Hi leigh absolutely love my genos 2 most amazing keyboard ive ever owned and every time you post a video it just makes me want to play it more and more . I have a couple of questions if i may .when using one touch settings can is there a way to keep left hand playing when moving through them as every time you move through them you have to repress left hand ? And secondly do you remember yamaha demo song on psr530 called Always it was a beautiful piece of music just wondered if you could try to recreate that on genos 2 im sure it would sound amazing . Many thanks for all your videos !

wow Leigh ...this is awesome. Nice job. You have proved to me that it is possible to compose on this instruments and lay down a full arrangement. The sound quality is tremendous. Have you thought about composing your own music. You definitely have the skills the way you can handle chord inversions and improvise solos. Find a nice chord sequence and jam some melodies to see what sticks. The only weakness I see in this keyboard is the Wurly electric piano and Hammond organ with rotary effect. They lack the rich warmth of other keyboards, and the rotary speaker does not wind up slowly and sounds a bit crude. I don't understand how Yamaha got those so wrong because all other instruments are top draw. Those swelling strings and bold horns are amazing. You really could close your eyes and think it is a real orchestra.

I agree the organ dept needs an update. It’s desperately in need of new organ tones such as H100 and Euro

Montage m8X? Could that come close to it? 8:53
@LeighWilbraham4 ай бұрын
They aren’t arranger instruments. Very different keyboards completely.
@markoconnell8044 ай бұрын
@@LeighWilbraham odd I thought the m8x could double as an arranger and keyboard at the same time. Thanks for clarifying this for me.
