Hi Leigh. Blown away as usual. I am envious of your key board skills, you make it look so easy and I know it’s not. I am very fortunate to have had one of the first “Genos” keyboards and hence the damage financially was not too great to move up to the new Genos2. I feel a little ashamed that I have only progressed so far using EzPlay music, very primitive I know but I do have hours of fun. I hope to retire soon and have time for lessons. In the mean time I can only dream of achieving some additional skills to make the most out of this great musical equipment. I treated myself to two Bose L1 speakers when I went from my old AR100 to the original Genos so it now sounds good. Oh, if I could only play 10% as good as you. Thanks for all your great videos, keep up the good work. ThanksMike Sheffield.

With my sound system up a bit, those Orchestral Drums just reverberate right through my chest. I hope to figure how to create a style one of these days. Nice demo! Thank you.

Very informative again Leigh. I have a NP31, Pk9 pedals linked through V console, but this is a cheaper alternative to connect everything up. I made a stand using a Technics KN7000 stand and modified it to take both keyboards.

Hi, awesome video 👍. I have one question. I have had Motif in many years and loved it. Do you think Genos 2 or Montage m will be the best choice for me. I think it’s much easier to create music with Genos due to the Workstation which Montage m I believe don’t have. Tnx
@LeighWilbraham5 ай бұрын
@@Kiamusic75 they are very different instruments. Genos is a live play instrument where montage would need sequencing to get a similar end result. Both super instruments but Genos is so so much easier to use as well.
@Kiamusic752 ай бұрын
@@LeighWilbraham I bought Montage M7, and love it. The pattern mode is little bit more difficult to work with than motif but I will figure it out 😁

Fabulous as always !!! One question : Is there a limit in the number of wav we can put on the Genos ? I have 1400 wav files that represent 2510 Mb. So they can fit in 3073 mb. But is there a limit for the number of wav ? It is called TOC : table of content....Is the limit 1000 ? 2000 4000 ? Because if i want to import my wav packs in Genos, i have to put 2510 mb in 3000 mb space. This is easy. But if there is a table limit , for example 1000, i won't be able to load all of my wav files packs despite being less that 3072 mb.... I know korg Wavestate has 4096 mb of flash, but can only fit in 2000 wav files. Roland fantom 8000 wav in 4096 mb. Thanks a lot !

Simply wonderful! How do you do that?! :D When you are accompanying the main melody with the harmonies with your left hand, reaching for the individual notes that you need with your fingers, not thinking for a single moment about chords, bass and tonality... :D

I’ve played Yamaha keyboards for so so many years I know them inside out and know what the instrument can achieve. The keyboard makes playing such a joy. Something I’ve never had with other keyboards.

@@LeighWilbraham I wrote totally the same precisely yesterday! :D I recently bought an SX900, and I wrote my pal that it's been so long or maybe never that I sit down and play a keyboard just to listen to the sounds and to be captivated by the patches and just play them because they sound gorgeously! :)

When you add melodic parts like bass to the style, are you playing the notes in the key of C so that the Genos will then transpose it to whatever key you're playing with the left hand when using the style?
@LeighWilbraham4 ай бұрын
@@borisbosnjak4812 yes C major 7 and then it will transpose based on thr NTT/NTR settings

Great video @LeighWilbraham . I appreciate the video, I hope that this advice will work when i buy genos 2 after 2 or 1 years. Currently I am using PSR-E473 and its not going well for me as i am going thru financial problems. I hope that some donates a dollar to me to begin my journey as a youtube creator like you.
