It depends. If you want something quick and have a c920, go with the 920. The advantage of the DSLR is that you can get a better view if you want to show an object that you want to highlight and detach from the background.

The only way to get a clean output is to do as explained in this video. The camera is good, but the problem is it will turn off after 30 seconds. There is a trick that consists in having the shutter button pressed halfway to keep the camera on ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIbVgZdql5dlj5Y ), but it is not so effective since the camera heats up. In summary, I'd go with a camera that already has a clear view and does not turn off after a few seconds.

@@TreciaThompson Better late than never : Go to Menu -> Shooting menu (2nd menu) --> AF-area mode --> Live/video view -> Normal Zone AF (I'm not using the device in english, so the translation may not be exact). This will reduce the rectangle size, and you can move it at the bottom of the screen as explained in the video. After doing this, you may need to adjust the focus, using manual mode. To do this, select M on the A-M button of Lens, and rotate the camera lens focus ring. Done

When I press normal video recording with the capture card, I get images in the obs. Does it turn off after a limited time or does the video stream continue until I stop recording?

You can’t. Mini usb will only transfer energy or data, not live video. You can only get the video out of the camera through the hdmi.

Camera live view is max 5 mins. With the shutter button half pressed (video showing how to do that on the description), it will keep it open as long as it is still half pressed.

If you go to min 2:20 on the video you'll see how to set it to 5 mins max. Keeping shutter button half pressed will keep it open as long as it is still pressed (link with the video showing how to do that on the description)
