Yea but you get what you pay for. These nepros are literally multigenerational tools. In te even somethig in the gearing breaks, rebuild kits are easily and relatively cheap to make them brand new again

I worked at Sears hardware for a while. One guy came in and said his tools got to be cleaner than the cars they work on. I’m not sure what that meant, but I always wondered if he had any cars to begin with.

@@roscomcfarland204 I agree! Even the Napa Carlyle pear head styles are super great! Except the basic 1/4dr that is ok but the 3/8dr ive got 2 ajd a flex head and use them professionally and abuse them and absolutely love the feel so much so my snapon ratchets got sent home. The Carlyle stuff really surprised me honestly and i love it.

Word up my dude! I have 4 myself: NBRC390S, NBR290L, NBRC390L and NBR390L. I use all of them almost daily while my two Snap-Ons never see life outside my toolbox. The operation is super smooth, extra low back drag and super compact head. They are the superior ratchet and they should absolutely be used.

That's exactly why you dont spend that much money on a ratchet. That way, you don't have to be worried about messing up your $250 ratchet or your $800 5 piece wrench set. I see guys all the time have a 2nd set of a tool, so they dont mess up their expensive snap on one. Why even buy a tool if you're scared to use it and get it dirty. Buy something that works well, holds up, and has a lifetime warranty. I've been reefin on my $35 capri ratchet and my $45 icon ratchet 5 days a week for years now with no issues at all. If it breaks, I get a brand new one. If your snap on ratchet breaks, you get it rebuilt, and they hand you back your old ratchet😂

I haven’t had great luck with my long handled 1/2” Nepros...the QD stopped working after barely having any use with it. I figured the warranty would cover it considering I bought it directly from them, and have barely used it. But no, they just sent me the link to an overpriced rebuild kit. Probably won’t by anymore from them if they won’t even offer a discount for a replacement part I shouldn’t need. I have shitty(compared to Nepros) craftsman ratchets that are 20 years old and even on them, the QD button works and locks like new. I’ve dropped countless sockets in nasty crude oil while working on pumping units because the QD on the Nepros is no longer existent. It doesn’t have any holding power.

@@GarnettTools I said, “Hello, I have a question for you. My long handled 1/2” Nepros ratchet is having a small problem. The quick release detent does not have any holding power to it. The sockets will fall off the anvil when simply carrying the ratchet with the socket attached. It never did this when I first got it.” They responded, “We are very sorry to hear that you have an issue on our ratchet handle. We think you might purchase the repair kit to resolve it. “
