Owned one, and I can tell you apart from the shit interior they are one of the best “sports car” I’ve ever driven… sharp handling, sounds decent, can make up to around 470bhp on regular engine, best cheap all round sports car. Will be thinking of getting another one very soon

Guys don't worry about my self esteem. The main reason I wouldn't drive German cars, especially this one, is that they're gaudy on the outside and cheap and compromised underneath. They're not what they used to be, I know as I've previously had the greats like the E46. And I certainly don't care what other people think which is why I now drive and enjoy an old Lexus GS

Love your review format and videos, but could you please do the running costs after obtaining the actual real MPG figures? The manufactures fuel figures are always miles off your real ones.

my uncle had one of these stage 1 remapped it was rapid proper underrated prefer this to the A45 see less cla 45 on the road

this was similar price to the RS3 from new, doesn't sound as good, slower than the S3, poor build quality (all Mercedes are tbh), same MPG as an M5. The ONLY thing i'd say it's good for is posers that have ZERO interest in cars, just want the Mercedes-AMG badge and some fancy bucket seats. Absolute disaster class from Mercedes.

I don't think these actually have 381bhp, drove one and it just didn't feel like it, golf R would beat it with 81bhp less.. The steering is a lot better in this tho.

Basically the golf makes near peek power for wayyyy longer. This thing only makes around 381hp for about 200rpm 😂

Terrible reliability, build quality, super laggy and jerky DCT transmission. Avoid at all costs. Also, don’t know how you can say the seats wear well when we can all see at 2:13 the bolster damage. We know you’re trying to sell it but be realistic, please.

Are you basing this on ownership or JayEmms damming review of a car he obviously disliked? As a general rule the seats do wear well, this one only really showing wear where an owner has been too lazy to not drag themselves over the bolster constantly. The rest of the seat looks reasonably ok.

That's not good 30-70 . I have a merc A45S and I have done 30-70 in 3.3 and that's the only time I have timed it using draggy , I think it could do a slight bit quicker. 40 bhp shouldn't make that much difference

@@sv-rh4dz The newer engine has a much wider torque band hence the reason it’s so much quicker, also faster gearbox.

I’ve noticed a few reviews get a run in through say 25 in gear and that helps shave time. This is planted at 30 so that could take a few hundredths off.

No, i drove a CLA45 and S3 both stock and S3 with less BHP is faster, better gearbox and maybe even the map.. the cla doesn't feel like a 381bhp car tbh . One thing the S3 can't match tho is the steering feel, the cla steering feels very connected.
