Thanks for sharing this with us Chris, Darius is a lucky chap to have you as a teacher as you explain everything you are doing so clearly and in a way we can understand and learn from it👌 I like to use a round block on a radius like that, I got myself some solid round perspex then stuck some velcro to them I have a few different lengths and thicknesses to cater for different size curves🙏👍John UK

Would love to see more videos about metal pulling/understanding where and how to pull dents. I’ve learned a lot from this channel and it has made me a hell of an efficient tech at the dealership I work at.

Ok, those videos don't seem too popular but it's not all about that either. I'll make some more videos about how to straighten dents specifically. Happy to hear you find the videos helpful!

I went to abody shop for a small repair. Asked for cash price since I did not want another insurance claim. (Had 3 at fault accidents 2023) they acted like they only wanted insurance jobs.
@GarageNoise2 ай бұрын
These big shops have relationships with insurance companies so your right alot of shop won't do out of pocket stuff. Doesn't make sense to me. Try smaller shops maybe. Appreciate your comment and support!
@silvercommander2 ай бұрын
@@GarageNoise will do. I prefer non corporate shops. I'd just asked because they'd fixed my vehicle previously (insurance related) 3Xs and did a good job.

Why no adhesion promoter on the areas of raw plastic?
@GarageNoise2 ай бұрын
You could use it, I didn't because those raw plastic areas were well sanded so the mechanical adhesion should be sufficient.

Heat gun works ok. Get a hand held butane/propane torch, heats the bumper super fast! No waiting. I also used to and still use the wood end of my body hammer to push the hot bumper. I also have a few pieces of small cuts of wood I use. The game changer was when I bought the polyvance bumper rollers! I highly recommend the set. Makes getting creases and even big highs and lows so easy! Roll it out until it cools. I've never tried the cold wet rag method. I've always held in place as best I can until cooled. Learn something new everyday. Good video!!!

I've been tempted to buy those rollers but couldn't justify the $80 .I guess I should just get some

Y not inexpensive flat black aerosol paint for guide coat?
@GarageNoise2 ай бұрын
You can do that but it clogs up paper and this guide coat seriously last forever.

This is a great idea! As detailed as this channel is, it would be greatly appreciated to hear a breakdown by skill level/budget of what they use where and why. I'm new to this I'm still trying to work up a supply list (and my nerves) to start my bumper repair and paint. Subbed.

Hi Chris! I’d like to ask you about the Aeropro A610 spray gun. What’s your opinion of the gun after using it for several months? Do you still recommend it for "garage" painting? I’m seriously considering getting one, it looked pretty convincing in your videos. Thanks, have a great day!
