I have a 2019 FBO Ecutek tuned Q50 and I gotta say in terms of performance it certainly doesn’t make me miss my 3.7 whatsoever HOWEVER, it does in 1 element, the VHR/HR motor were developed at nearly the same time as the VR38 so they share a lot of similarities And because of that it’s a massively reliable motor so much that in tinkering you can EASILY achieve 500whp on a stock block unopened with turbo kits & superchargers without worrying about it exploding. There are nearly thousands of boosted 370zs and G37s that will agree with this. The same CANNOT be said about the VR30 in the back of my mind I’m always worried that the seals on the turbo are gunna go, or the block is gunna let go, and it’s only 44K miles. That would be “just broken in” when it comes to the 3.7VHR and 3.5HR

Great comparison video! I had a 2006 G35 and upgraded to a 14 Q50S. I couldn't be happier. Both great cars, super reliable but the newer and sportier Q50 is going to win every time (if you're on a budget, maybe not lol) Those door puddle lights are after market too. The 2 screens are slow but only in the 2014 model. Who really uses those anyway? It auto connects to my phone's bluetooth very quickly and I just play spotify and use google maps. You can easily upgrade to the Mark 7 Tesla Style 1 Big Screen for all models for $1100 and there is 0 lag and a way better upgrade than the little apple carplay screen. If you get the Sport Q50 models, you get upgraded breaks, bumpers, and a few other features that particular model might have been missing, like the 60/40 real folding seats which was MY deciding factor in getting a Q50 over the G37. IMO Q50S 3.7 > G37 > G35 but expect to pay around $1k x the year of the car

Excellent video I agree with 100% of the video statements G37 has more materials in its headlights then the q50 which is why you will see the g37 headlights costing more The q50 is missing a lot of stuff the g37 comes with from factory it gets even worse on the q60 3.0t The question leads into would you rather have a couple of g35s payed off or one q50 The best price for any Infiniti is 5-15k maximum over that you gonna get fed with depreciation

Got a boosted FBO uprev tuned 03 G35 coupe 6MT in black obsidian and black interior. lowered on Fortune auto 510s, Upgraded w forged Rays from 350z 18/19”track touring wheels.(my favorite factory wheels) makes 520RWHP on 6psi. Street tune Reliable. 5th are still going strong Also got a 08 G35S sedan with factory paddle shifters 3.7 factory VLSD, nice comfortable sport seats with thigh bolsters. And that one is powered on more conservative fortune auto 500 with swift springs, and is fbo JWT Cams, retainers, upgraded eagle rod forged pistons, N/a ecutek tuned making 382whp 318 ft torque. Both are still perfect drivers cars. Both are best of both worlds when it comes to Infiniti. Hell from all the satisfaction these cars have brought me in my heart I don’t even think about wanting a GTR anymore. Honest to gods truth. Plus I like being the little guy, and the one that could 😂

I was thinking of getting a G35x myself because I hate the prices of the Q. I wondered if they were the same car.
