Hey, Here is a quick review on my Stoeger condor 12ga 28inch After more than 1000 Shots. Very dependable over under Shotgun. You press the trigger and it shoots.

Reminds me of my Side by side Baikal, have owned it for 28 years and put over 4000 rounds through her without a problem. Thanks for the great video and your sling is awesome, its very strong and secure without putting holes in the wood. The old timers used to do it this way.

Thanks. I bought one as a result of your positive review, picked it up yesterday, but haven't fired it yet. Seems very solid, except some rough edges in the top barrel at the place where the choke ends. A dremel tool took care of the problem in a few minutes.

I have the condor competition supreme 12 gauge O/U. The shotgun has performed in a most excellent manner. Use mine for trap only when I improve my trap scores will try continental. It is well built, simple to disassemble and clean. Also I think the price is excellent. Bought mine new from Cabela's several years ago.

This shotgun is fucking awesome! An iron workhorse, made in Brazil and way better than the expensive Turkish scrap available in the market, you can't go wrong for the price

I purchased one from Buds about a year ago but still have not shot mine. Looking for a skeet range in my area. Have 2 cases of Monarch 7 1/2 skeet shells so I am ready to try mine out soon. Thank you for the video, good job.

Great video brother. Slugs should be fine through either choke, especially improved cylinder.
@rogerrascal86324 жыл бұрын
should only fire solids in cylinder bore never a choked barrel...
@Hamchuck1123 жыл бұрын
@@rogerrascal8632 Yeah I'm new to choked shotguns but logically I can't see why you'd want to fire a rifled slug through a choked barrel.
@twiggybones70402 жыл бұрын
@@rogerrascal8632 "rifled slugs" are rifled so they can squish through a choke. Lead is soft. Oh how the engineers know how to do their job.
@rogerrascal86322 жыл бұрын
@@twiggybones7040 Sorry to tell you rifled slugs are designed to twist / rotate the slug going through the barrel which enables a more stable flight for a solid slug. Has NOTHING to do with the choke which is used to hold a tighter pattern for bird / skeet shot. Solids should not be used with chokes period.
@twiggybones70402 жыл бұрын
@@rogerrascal8632 lmao. People believe that? No man. Rifling in a barrel is to promote spin for stabilization. Not on the projectile. Now, I will not say go ahead and shoot a slug out a full choke. While possible, that's a tight fit. The tightest choke I would go is modified choke. Cylinder, improved Cylinder, modified, and improved modified, full choke, and then turkey choke. You can choke slugs, don't think for a second that you can't.

Depends on your chokes some can and some can’t.

No

I am wondering that myself. Cause I might pick up a Condor tomorrow. Cause I thought with these 3 inch magnums I thought those shotguns was designed for steel shot for duck and goose hunting.

do not use for a field gun. this is trap or skeet only. if you want a cheap reliable field gun try remington 870, perfect. I would say this gun is exactly what I will get for the trap and skeet range

I bought a 12 gauge Condor five days ago. Took it out this morning and shot two boxes of Federal Dove & Quail at my club's skeet range. Brought it home. Took it apart to clean the barrel. Put it together and now the trigger does not work! Took it back to Cabela's, it would not work for them either. They are sending it back. I've fired more using my 1896 Sauer & Sohn shotgun and it still works. I asked Stoeger how long it will take to fix a gun under warranty. They replied, "22 weeks."

An Update: After two weeks I contacted the store manager. He agreed to give me a refund.

Ed, First, I would like to thank you for the gun review. Secondly, You did a great video. Side note. In the future, when there is a background noise, let users know you hear it and tell them its unavoidable. I assume this was a air from a heat vent?...since you had Christmas lights? You said this is a used Stoeger Condor O/U shotgun. Can you tell me the specific model (condor field, longfowler, condor competition, etc). Thanks

You don’t shoot a slug out of a choked barrel..it should be smooth bored, or a rifled battle for slugs

Yeah you do. IC or sometimes even M chokes are appropriate for slugs.
