I just... really like Koepka. Even though he reminds me a lot of the popular, sporty types who I felt so intimidated by in high school/Uni, and I suspect socially we wouldn't get along... But he seems genuinely down to earth, really no-nonsense, and a great competitor. Looking forward to more major victories from him.

lol that Justin Thomas putt was insane, i made a 67 footer in a sudden death playoff in 2009 that broke 15 feet and was dead up hill then down hill to send my team to states. It was the best putt and craziest i’ve ever seen in person but doesn’t even compare to Justin’s putt lol

This kind of production quality is part of why golf has such a mesmerising place in the public consciousness. Maybe it's expensive to put together this quality of production but it's worth it. It sets the game apart. Some day the same might be the case for disc golf. The players are quality, but the sport lacks the financial backing that golf has but I feel that the governing body needs to get more involved. Anyway, sorry for diverging. Just imagining what could be =)

Koepka saying, he doesn’t even like golf and that he plays because he’s good at, has to be bullshit
@chaoticzebra78424 жыл бұрын
Erin hills is a prime example of how golf is going in the wrong direction. The course is freakishly long with easy flat greens and wide fairways. It rewards distance only, that’s why Koepka won it WITH 16 UNDER. 8000 yard golf courses discourage new players, aren’t environmentally sustainable, and aren’t a true test to golf
@Andy71573 жыл бұрын
Did you watch the same thing I just did? All the players said it was difficult. Sure Koepka won who could hit it long. But so many long hitters and high ranked players bowed out early.
@Simmons409 Жыл бұрын
@chaoticzebra7842 you are absolutely correct. Watch some of the old master from the 70s-80s and even early 90s, those players have to hit all kinds of shots. Now it’s just bomb it as far as you can. The game was in a better place then. Now course are just crazy long or short and get over powered. The Old Course would never be built today and it’s arguably the greatest course ever

1. The course was brutal on the top 3 golfers in the world. None of them even made the cut. 2. It's really a par 70 course but if they call it that ALL THE GOLFERS will scream that it's TOO DIFFICULT because that ADDS 8 STROKES to everyone in relation to par.
