When I first learned golf, I was taught that for right-handed players, the left arm acts as the pivot, so you should pull with your left arm. However, since I'm right-handed, I tend to put a lot of strength into my right arm, which often causes slices. The drill I learned from this video seems like it will be very helpful. Again thank you for your tip. My cousin recently started playing golf, so I recommended subscribing US GOLF TV. I am from Korea.

Agree with you. As a right handed golfer I like to feel my lead arm pushing the club away in the takeaway and pulling the club through in the downswing. Thanks for the recommendation. Hope we are helping your game.

I like your videos. They do help me a little on the course, when I can remember to do them. The 3 setter swings before hitting my ball are a tremendous help. I will try this drill tomorrow on the course.

New subscriber (from St. Louis, MO) to this great golf instruction/improvement resource. I landed here while looking for something else and I've only watched a couple of videos but what strikes me is you consistently refer to "amateur" players NOT the professionals. IMO, too many instructors point to the pros as an illustration of how a technique should look or be performed. As a 72yo very part time golfer I long ago realized that we hobbyists will never be able to do what the people who perform the task for a living can do. Please keep up the good work and thank you for your time and effort. Bob Smith Inventor, Bob (Bogey Or Better) Golf

great drill. Steve from Oklahoma here. I have wondered for a long time where to put my concentration. I have the very bad habit of rifling that right arm out into nowhere and coming across the ball. I think my concentration should be on making the lead arm my focus. Thanks, Todd

Wow! I was really happy with my results. So much I went to my home course driving range and I think I smiled the whole time. I'll be 68 in August and struggle this year with arthritis and bone spurs and felt like giving up. Your drill has changed that and I'm grateful. Thank you. I can't wait for my next match with the guys.

Hi. What if there was no slice or draw. What's actually the right understanding here ? The lead arm uses more strength or trail arm ? Because it really makes differences. Thanks
@jdwond36736 ай бұрын
My left arm was injured this past winter and caused me to compensate by using more trail arm and right hand. What a disaster that caused! I was using a strong right hand grip and the woods and driver were hooking and duck hooking off the planet. After physical therapy and strength training for my left arm, I'm starting to get my swing back with a more neutral grip.

So many great vidoes and tips .... however I desperately need a drill to help me KEEP MY HEAD DOWN! (If such a drill exists) I know you say "keeping your eye on the ball" is not 100% correct, but I am up looking after the ball nano seconds after (maybe even before!!!!) I hit the ball. It destroys my shot, my score and my otherwise lovely mood!

Hi you might be able to help me.. all my life I've been a slicer,. But i was able to correct it and i have been hitting straight... But all of the sudden i started hitting hooks,. I was also good in hitting fairway woods and hybrids, but since i started hitting hooks and pulls, i cant hit them now... the ball just rolls on the ground and goes directly to the left side of the fairway

It's fascinating, I've had a very similar experience recently. I think it's a natural thing, we learn something that helps and just naturally keep doing it more and more until it doesn't help anymore. For me I never rotated enough then I rotated too much. I'm starting to hit it better by feeling more lateral movement and less rotation. But that's just me and probably not right for you.😂
@robertcourt85936 ай бұрын
If you're right side dominant, then you should probably try to get your left side involved a little bit more and vice versa.
