i remember when i bought, it was new and it was around 800$, and as i remember 800$ back in the days is like 2k nowadays ....miss those days golden days

Agreed, 800$ was a LOT back then. But what a time it was, every phone was unique in terms of features and design.

It's been a while... 2013 was 11 years ago LOL :D The smartphones have gone a long way since then, I'm so glad that pretty much even entry phones are snappy and fast, are supported for longer and generally offer more - lagging and heating during app updates is not that common anymore. CPUs went a long way too.

Time flies!! and I agree, entry level smartphones have become really good, Samsung's M series is a great example, Android itself is more optimized.

Recently got a z5 premium and it's honestly usable for the most part. Biggest issues are probably battery life and slow internet

Those old Android versions were really crappy compared to today's Android. This phone would probably perform better with a custom rom that's got Android 9 or up because they use less resources and are more optimized
@TechGuyCharlie5 ай бұрын
Agreed! I was really tempted to flash a custom rom on this phone, but I want to keep this phone as it is, its more of a collectors item now. I had Google Play Services crash once while updating the apps (happened off camera, so could not catch it), but after that everything just worked, which is surprising because of how badly optimized Android used to be.

13:40 I find it weird that even for 4G users (Samsung A51), I was forced to use E network standard on data. I was in India but for visit meaning my Australian SIM amaysim which had tied with Airtel which gave me 4G for a few days upon landing. After that, no 4G, phone is capable of 4G tho yet I only get 2G standard data, no browsing or anything despite a hefty roaming charge. It also worked only in state of Kerala and interstate travels would disconnect from it. Aside from that, TIL I only found out the Xperia Z (or the one in the video) is only capable of max 3G but no 4G as per your country specifications which is quite interesting I find considering as a former Xperia Z user my self which I only learnt more abt smartphones including WiFi and Data internet thru that device. good times
