Isn't that a Lavender EDTA tube? Why are you putting in the centrifuge, isn't it supposed to be whole blood?

Not always. Some tests drawn in EDTA tubes are required to be tested as PLASMA, therefore, it must be spun. Whether YOU, the Phlebotomist, will do that, or you will send it to the lab for lab techs to do it is up to the company you work for.

wow, why spin a lavender for a plasma sample only to turn it upside down? of course it's going to go back to a whole blood, there is no separator. I'm just confused at this entire video. He also places two different sized tubes across from each other. Which is probably the result of the plain red being poorly separated (Unsure if he also fast forwarded this video because 5 minutes also isn't enough time to properly spin a tube) even though he states it "fully separated". THEN he places it down (hand faced slapping emoji) knowing it has no separator either. this video pained me with all the technical errors.

Watching this because I'm dumbly hoping I can mix my protein shake by swirling it in water with one hand.
