If anyone is interested, this worked for me on a Raspberry PI 1.2B+ 32 bit which was not listed as a 'tested device' though the console cannot power it very well and is more stable when using a dedicated USB charger. I used an LBlink USB wireless dongle connected to the PI for internet access which was picked up no problem by it.

Yh but these are just temporary ways until they get into the kernal and crack the system and then it will more than likely be like the ps3 with a flasher but 100% ps4/5 are going to be like the xbox 360 with custom servers

why would you update to 11.0 though? or are you talking about another ps4on higher FW? is there any reason to update to 11.0 ? I mean everything can be backported and all you get is more instability with the update right and also then you have to use Ethernet and cant just set up a web server with wiif

@@andreamitchell4758 you're absolutely right. I don't intend to update, but it's good to know that should the (unlikely) need arise, I won't need to invest in a completely new raspberry pi. I'm sticking with 9.0 until there's a game I want to play that can't be backported whzih is probably never. Hell there's probably a pc version of most new PlayStation games coming out anyway.

@@Thehotdogman Yea any games that are on PC i tend to get for the PC.. I did play RDR2 on the PS4 and I was actually extremely impressed with how well it looks only being the OG PS4 and lower specs than even my Xbox One S, but it looked really good! However i already started that game on my Xbox Series X using the Xbox One game and it gets the 4K Enhanced Version with the better Xbox One and the new Xbox's. It looks really good as well, but everything looks better on the PC lol.. There's a bunch of games ive wanted to try since my BD Drive broke years ago.. Then I was on FW v8.50 and someone turned the PS4 on to try and play it when I wasnt home and it got updated to v9.03 basically a few weeks after I had found out about the 9.0 jailbreak.. SMH! This was about 2-3yrs ago now, and I was so mad I havent touched it since then and now im on V9.60 with this Pi-PPPwnd method on my RPi3 and its literally automatic. The RPi3 also has built-in WiFi and it has an Ethernet Port, so I didnt even need to buy the USB to Ethernet Adapter mentioned in the video. Im thinking when i get a new SSD to install in the PS4 I will just update it to FW v11.0 so I dont have to worry about finding games or update files to make them work properly. If i have to do it this way anyway for v9.60, then there seems like no reason not update it further to v11.0 to at this point for me. It does crash every once and awhile so I would definitely stay on V9.00 JB and enjoy that lol.. Its not bad though it happened a few times from me trying to launch Sony Apps i knew wouldnt work anyway but I was curious and it screwed me over lol. Unfortunately besides that it seems Itemzflow causes it randomly crash, thats about the ONLY issue. It has happened maybe 5 times so far since I started, but I was doing a bunch of Installing Apps, Patches, DLC's, Homebrew Apps, messing with the file explorer, etc. So i think it will be very minimal now and I do sleep mode and full shutdown about 50/50. So its pretty stable actually either from REST mode or a Cold Boot.

the easyest method, as you said it, is to have a second ethernet adapter, or an usb dongle even, and use it for the ps4 as bridge to share Internet Connection. Some other methods are for ppl without PCs. Honest, i find using a tplink usb to gbit rj45, more reasy than using that annoing usb on 9.00 eveytime. coz i'm not leaving my computer chair. And with this method i'm getting over 900Mbps while transfering games to my ps4 pro 11.00 (extern seagate 4tb drive) with pkg sender. my pc using my onboard lan, and usb tplink usb3.0 gibit to the ps4 directly.

yea, rest mode is broken in my ps4 when it is on goldhen. it almost always crash entering rest mode or awaking from it.

Briliant tutorila! Just done it on 9.6 ps4 with Raspberry 3b+ . Running pretty smooth & relatively quick. The only issue I am having is connecting FTP to the console Raspi has 192.168.0.157 as a IP , Ps4 has 192.168.2.2 , and cant connect to FTP in this way. Klog , bin loader and FTP servers are ON. Only connects to Raspi as its in the network. Any ideas please ? Thanks in advance!

As someone who has done both, I highly recommend using something with a bit more power, like a raspberry pi 3b+ and not a pi zero 2 w if you have one. Just because of the time it takes to run the script is significantly faster and will save you some frustration. By the time you set up USB ethernet, the price is not so different.

You're free to try it. It takes a different amount of time every time you run it either way, but the pi 3b+ has been faster every time. Maybe because the ethernet port isn't plugged in via USB?

Using 7.55 is not going to let you play games of firmware 9.00 and higher, i mean you can technically but you will need to find a backported version of games to play on lower firmware.

Im not able to wake my PS4 via remote play (Chiaki) when I use the internet passthrough feature, connecting when the console is on is fine just cant wake it (had to manually add the ports in ppwn webapp aswell). Is it possible to wake the console when internet passthrough is used? :)

I don't use this method, so I don't know much. But does the PS4 even supply power to the USB port in that state? If it doesn't that would explain your issue, since your pi wouldn't actually be on to forward the traffic.

Use a hammer to hit the hdmi port at 83 degrees from the top. If done correctly, it moves the apu just tight that it reverts to the old nand chip which will downgrade it 9.00
