Should this be in your Adobe Bridge playlist?

Hello, your tutorials on Bridge are fantastic. When I use Open With in Bridge, I don't see any of the Topaz Add-ins that I've installed. How can I get them to show up in the Open With menu?

Thanks Anthony, I appreciate you making some videos on Bridge. I'm a windows user; some comments below seem to say that Plugins don't show up when you try to select them while in Bridge. Or maybe it is just Topaz. This might only be a problem on windows computers; and if so, do you have one on your brilliant workarounds for us windows users. Thanks again.

Wow, very helpful. Seeing how the programs interplay with each other is very helpful. Been using the programs you used in this video for a very long time. Seeing this workflow has been very eye-opening. Thank you.

You don't need to go to photoshop to recognize crop. In ACR there is a a Save option at the very top right and you can just choose tif there and then click Done. The updated tif file appears in bridge and you haven't bothered with photoshop

@AnthonyMorganti Hello Anthony, same issue here as @Leoncel mentioned earlier: When I click "Open with ..." in Bridge, the dropdown menu does not show links to any of the plugins, only to PS. They do work correctly in Lightroom and in Photoshop. Do you know a solution? Using Windows 10 here.

Hi Anthony, I have the same issue other windows users are having that being I do not see my Topaz plugins in open with. The other major issue I'm having is the integration between LR Classic and Bridge. As described in your previous tutorial, when making an edit in Bridge via ACR in PS you can then open LR and use the tiny arrow to 'import settings from disk' to bring your edit across to LR. What I am not seeing is the reverse situation i.e when making an edit in LR Classic then opening Bridge I do not see the edits I have just done, nor do I see them on any other images previously edited in LR. The only edits I see in Bridge from LR are HDR images and Tiff files from previous Topaz Denoise edits. Some help with this in a tutorial would be fantastic.

Excellent into to Bridge. Thanks. I just wonder what the initial process is to move your pictures on your card to your file station?

I'm all in on Bridge instead of Lightroom, as it fits my photography style and workflow much better. For getting TIF files for external apps I created a "TIFF 100% (Same Folder)" *Exports* panel preset. Getting a TIF is then just a drag-n-drop operation. This is much faster than going all the way into Photoshop just to get a TIF file.

The plugins also do not show up in my Bridge and I have the latest version. I assume it is a Windows thing. If you browse and find the program it will open the image in the plugin but the next time it still does not appear. Not a big deal for me as I prefer to use LightRoom anyway.

When I right-click on image and "Open with", the plug-ins from LR or PS do not appear, just "Browse". I can find and open the plug-ins (Topaz suite) with browse, but how did you get them to appear in Bridge?

Anthony, Excellent video. Would you use the same process with DXO PureRAW 3?

I know you've asked Tony but IMO, you should run your images through PureRaw on the way into Bridge (it corrects for lens distortion also).

Thank you for posting. Very informative video. I do have a question. What are the advantages of using Adobe Bridge vs using Lightroom and using the corresponding plug-ins? Sounds like I am missing something. thx.

After watching this convoluted mess, I don't think there is any advantage to Bridge.
@dretwav

The major advantage to Bridge is that you work directly with the file system and do not have to build a database. Also you can move files around and cull photos easier. I organize my photos with a sub-folder for each ISO on a given day. I can easily automate building that directory structure which would be more difficult in Lightroom. Despite what he says in the video it is not necessary to couple Bridge with Photoshop. You can save to tiff files directly from ACR. Since you can put your photos on an external drive you can access them from multiple computers. In LR you cannot have a Library on a network drive. Of course if you are accessing the files on a network drive from multiple computers you have to be sure you are not working on a file from both computers at the same time.

Hi, Anthony: Why can't I find in my Adobe Bridge app the links to any of Topaz's plugins? I have installed the latest actualizations of Topaz (all of the plug-ins), Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom and, of course, Windows 11. In Lightroom, I get every plug-in working properly.

I have the same problem and I think it's a MAC/PC situation. I have a PC and certain things which are available on MAC just don't happen for PC users. But I'm no expert so maybe Anthony can answer this later today when the USA wakes up

Plugin use with Bridge seems very buggy on Windows 11..mid 2023. I like Bridge but finding the Topaz plugins unusable on Windows 11 with Bridge. Can't even save a file with Topaz Plugin on Bridge.

Why post a video, then not answer questions about one problem that Windows users seem to be having, not being able to use "open with" to use plugins. If you don't know the answer why just say so.

If you’re going into Photoshop, why save and quit when you can do a File->Automate->Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI there when it closes down your left with the enlarged image and you can save from there. Much better workflow.
