Using Beads - Tutorial - Knitting Blooms

I do tatting with beads (I learned from Nina Libin) but I love your method of applying the beads with the crochet hook. That comparison between the first two methods how the beads look in the work is really good and your floss method is great. I like to travel with my beads so having all of these methods is just a win-win for me. I've only done a very little knitting, but it looks like I'll be going back to it, thanks to this video.

Great Tutorial. I am knitting a Lace Knitting Shawl of Estonia but have a problem with knitting the Nupps. I will now try to replace those darn Nupps using Pearls instead. Wish me luck. Lilian in Boulder, Colorado.

Using the floss to thread the beads onto the main yarn seems like an extra step to me... I usually put some super-glue/ nail-polish on the tip of the yarn make it stiff and stop it from fuzzing up, and then thread directly (sometimes I have to refresh it, but maybe 1 time per 200 beads or so

The beads you are using show 6/0. Is that 6/0 4mm? What size hook and yarn are you using?

If you are using different color (or shape or whatever) beads, you have to string them on the yarn in the pattern which you will need.

Second method of placing beads onto knitted fabric. Which stitch to place bead? It depends on which row needs bead...if current row requires bead, knit stitch first, put knitted stitch back on left needle then place bead on it then move back over to right needle...if previous row requires bead, then place bead on stitch on left hand needle and then knit that stitch. I'm going to start a tempestry project soon and that requites placing bead on current row....

The best way to have it on the right side is to use the slip stitch method
