Arm and wrist are always the weakest link. Using your bodyweight isn't cheating because arm and wrist have to support it

That is why it was so insane to see Levan 'hanging' all his 185-190kg on Ermes' arm and he could hold it. That in itsself should be clear as day that there is a limit to how much body weight can be advantageous.

Once a big guy in my gym wanted to armwrestle me (we had table at the gym). I asked him if he is familiar with the sport and how to keep himself safe etc. He said "pff it is just armwrestling, lets do it for money". So I toprolled him for 2 seconds and he was whining for days that I CHEATED ! that this is not armwrestling, that I should not have moved my body, that I cannot bend my wrist etc. He went so far to tell everyone that I was a cheat ... Keep in mind at that time I was 86kg with 3 years AW experience , and he was like 110+ kg with huge arms training like a bodybuilder. Moral of the story - don't play AW with stupid people who cannot and don't want to understand the sport ...

People see the body move and are quick to call cheating on it. But they fail to realize that we don't use body weight in any way to gain advantage. Except for maybe a very heavy flop presser who is falling onto their opponents arm! 😂 We are merely "moving" our body alongside/with our arm to maintain good and SAFE position and technique. Their is no body weight advantage! Except of course in terms of a heavier person perhaps having a stronger arm in general. I get my friends calling me out for cheating with body weight. So i do this with them. I slowly slowly work my way through a basic toproll against them and ask, "Am i usijg my body weight now?" And take the move a little further "How about now?" "Are both of my feet still on the ground? Am i hanging off of the table? No." I think it is perhaps the stigma of going sideways that leads people to believe you can throw your body sideways to overpower. Its definitely frustrating when people call it cheating! It feels like it takes away from all the hard work we've put in to be able to toy with friends on the arm wrestling table like that! It feels very undermining to have all of our knowledge and technical aspects reduced to lousy cheating.. and dont get me started on people that claim bending your wrist is cheating 😭 but anyways! I am a very amateur arm wrestler who still can't beat my older gym going brother, who practically uses all side pressure :( so its hard for me to claim i know much about the sport! But these are just my thoughts on a frustrating part of a great sport!!

It is very easy to be in a "break humerus" position: you are pulling forward engaging your elbow and suddenly, you opponent, is bringing you back, so, two opposite forces, creating a twisting force in the humerus. If you don't go back with your arm, "crack" and that is it.....expensive fixing in America with the cost of health Arm wrestling is not really a valuable sport, but just a training sport for not competing. Is as you are a great swimmer, but will you jump inside a whirpool? By the way in you video cover Levan went (purposedly) to break Devon arm, but didn't do more than a biceps tearing, because Devon is "holding", not puilling
