To a complete beginner to DaVinci and Fusion, your video is easy to follow and understand. You explained it well especially using multiple callouts simultaneously. Thank you and keep posting tutorials.

Thanks, I try to find time to post stuff like this when I have to figure it out. Sometimes there are other videos on the topic on KZbin but they would be slightly different or the software has changed enough the process has changed.

Nice- I like your approach. Starting in the Edit page, would dragging a Fusion Composition clip from Effects and dropping it above your video clip have made the project more flexible? Maybe you would not need to cut the main video clip and you could just adjust the length of the Fusion Comp for when you wanted the callouts to appear/disappear, and slide the Fusion Comp clip left/right as needed. And use the clip faders on left and right corners since the Comp clip would be acting more like an overlay/alpha clip. Just wondering. Regardless, I loved seeing how you worked with the Planar Tracking nodes. Thank you for posting this solution.

You've done a superb job and I've learned a lot about Fusion from you. You're a great teacher! I tried to replicate these moves with a Google Earth Studio 3D terrain map video (instead of a drone pedestal and callout, I used simple text tracked to a red place icon and a camera-fly by move). I got everything to work perfectly EXCEPT the text will NOT disappear when the red place icon disappears off the screen at the bottom....the text continues to trail at the edge until the end of the clip. Have you encountered this type of tracking problem with text or callouts? Any suggestions? Thanks again for a great, clear tutorial!

Hi, Thanks for the compliment! I created the video initially so I wouldn't forget how to do it (so easy to forget if you do not do it too often). Did you clip the area before doing anything else? I haven't tried using simple text, but I did use test with an image a while back in this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4PQdWt4faufhaM. I think the trick is to add the tracker, it ties the text or image to the clipped portion. Did you use a tracker or just add test kind of floating?

I’m sure it can be done (and I’m pretty sure I have since), the video was created a while back. I’m in the process of moving, I will try to put some time into it

The issue is that the animation has already happened here. For some reason when you trim down a video clip, then bring that trimmed clip to fusion and add callouts, the animations DON'T start when the trimmed clip starts. The animation starts already at the beginning of the original clip. So by the time the playhead gets to where the beginning of the trimmed clip is (which is the part of the clip you want to use) the animation has already happened. I do not know how to fix this.

@@anttiranki3690 It's been a while since I created the video. I'll try getting animation to work too. It may take another process.
