Learned a lot. What is battery?
@ScaleAudio Жыл бұрын
Battery is an mpc style virtual plug-in from native instruments. You load in samples to play and can edit them via battery itself. It’s a pretty cool plug-in.

I like to assign the speed of the arpeggiator knob from an FL Studio instrument to my external midi controller knob. The knob on my midi controller spins forever, but I wish I could make the knob snap to certain assigned values so that I can toggle back and forth between exact values on the fly. Is this possible? Or am I stuck with an infinitely spinnable knob that when I turn it can land anywhere between 0 and 100?
@ScaleAudio2 жыл бұрын
When you right click and select link to controller there will be a mapping formula section. Hit the drop down and under the “linear” options should be an option called “steppy” choose steppy and it’ll populate an equation that creates steps that will act like exact values. You can change the numbers of the equation to play with it or try “steppy (cents to semitones)” to go finer.

Without using formulas I’m unsure if there is an easy way to do what you’re asking.

Hey, ok here is my situation. I have 2 audio files in my playlist on tracks one and two. The second clip I want muted, and I only want it to unmute when I mute the first clip. So when I mute track one, I wanted track 2 to unmute then mute again when I unmute track one. I don't know if there will be an issue with controlling the mute buttons in the playlist, like in your video, you set it to the volume control in the mixer, but I want to record the automation of me muting the on and off the track from the button in the playlist. Any ideas?
@ScaleAudio2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Link both to the same controller. Make sure that the “override generic link” button is unchecked. And then in only one of them go to the formula section where you see a diagonal line in the box. There’s a drop down, in the drop down is an inverted option. This will make it so that the control is oppositely effected in an equal amount. And then it should record if you right click your main record button and just make sure “record automation” is checked in that drop down.

@@ScaleAudio Hey I need a little help. Yesterday I figured maybe I was trying to do this with the wrong plugin so I tried linking the mute buttons in the channel rack with the FL Envelope Controller. I didn't get it to work, but now when I'm playing an audio clip in the playlist, and I try to mute it from the channel rack, the light goes off but the sound does not mute. I have an old mpk 49 that I use as a controller only, because the lcd just light up but doesn't show me any words, and the drum pads don't work, but the keys still play the midi. I plugged this in to try and test the Envelope controller, but I forgot, even before all of that, I had problems with the knobs registering as if they where constantly moving when they are not. In anycase something happened, and I can no longer mute audio clips from the channel rack.

@@freestyletherapy if the lights are off the audio definitely shouldn’t be playing still. I have no idea. Are you using an old version of FL Studio or a cracked version or maybe you updated to windows 11? FL Studio has seemed really buggy in your case.
@ScaleAudio2 жыл бұрын
@@freestyletherapy is it for that project only or all of them? If it’s for all of them I’d try reinstalling fl studio again. FL Studio actually has a process for what they call a “clean installation” I’d try that if you haven’t.
@freestyletherapy2 жыл бұрын
@@ScaleAudio I assume all of them as I tried it in FL 11 and was running into the same issue. In the process of uninstalling all versions of FL Studio right now. If it works out, I'll finish the tutorial and let you know if I'm able to do it.
