Using Headshot and SkinGen to create a 3D character from a photo!

Reallusion Character Creator has some amazing new tools that make creating your characters even easier. You can drag in a photo of a person into the Headshot plugin and Character Creator will project that photo onto a 3D model with AI assisted accuracy. Then you can use SkinGen to add more realism with skin, blemish and hair details.

Thank you so much!!! This is the Tutorial I was looking for! Everyone else making the tutorial with Mesh mode which requires Third party software (like Polycam) to achieve the good results. I'm doing the same with a picture of my self as I watch the video and so far I'm getting very good results, after that I'll try a stylized version of my self, this is fun! Thanks again! Cheers!

Thank Richie being so brand new to Character Creator this was the best tutorial for the software seriously the short videos from Reallusion are horrible because they're short and keep hopping from the software to their website and I was about to buy skin gen and headshot twice... and their website is like a rabbit hole please do more videos like this because honestly Reallusion do not make good tutorials like they do products

I enjoyed your video. Is there a method to load a image of a persons profile, to get the angles and features from the side aligned correctly. I liked that feature in Crazytalk 8, which they discontinued.

You can see the height of your character because you have the info turned off. Info is under Preference->Display->Info

You have to learn 3D modeling to fully take advantage of CC4 including Headshot plugin. Headshot without extrenal adjustements just look totaly unprofessional, you have to export it to a third party modeling software and change the texture with something like Substance painter so you can make your own normals and roughtness map. when using CC4 i very rarely use their asset as I creat my owns, also NOVER use cc4's internal rigging system, it will always turn bad, just extract the whole character when you finished and adjust your weight paint manually after you auto rigged it. CC4 is very powerfull if you know how its supposed to be used.
