Finally someone who is demistifying the use of long distance call lure and how to proper use it. Made me think on how I can change my habits for the next season this fall

Mr Dale you explained how to use it perfectly. I’ve used it the same way as you and have drawn them out of cut over thickets right on top of the sets. Your Death Valley is the best long distance call lure I’ve ever used.

Question why would you not put the LDC lure at set. But on the back of set. Wyoming trapper.
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu15317 ай бұрын
Early in the season I prefer it above and behind the set. I prefer to use it to pull an animal over to the area of the set. Then I rely on my other milder baits and lures to finish putting his paw on the pan. Later season in bad cold weather then I use it at the set itself to put his paw down where I want it. If you want to use it right at the set in early season you can, just cut the amount you would normally use in about 1/2 or less.

Hi mr Billingsley. I had a miss on a fox. Trap set off and pulled out of bed. Will he be back? If so, what set would you use. I missed him on a dirt hole set.
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu15317 ай бұрын
Reset the dirt hole back and then see what he does? If he avoids the set or plays with I would then try a flat set with different lures or try to find his trail and catch him there. Thank you for watching

Good stuff Dale. So at that 3 way would you set all 3 points? What are you putting the ldc on? Qtip, cotton, or just on the branch or fence post or horse weed? Thanks Dale
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu15317 ай бұрын
Yes Jeff I would set all the points. I just put it on the limb or weed by itself. You can use q tips or cotton if you want too. I don't have anything against it. Thank you for watching
