Alright so this is a simple video showing how to use AF / MF Peaking to make manual focus so much easier and get sharp images. It shows how to set it up and then many examples of when it is useful, all described in my usual no nonsense yet informative style. Perfect for users of OM Systems cameras and all other brands too!
I will happily answer polite questions so feel free to stick then in the comments.

You can use Magnify in conjunction with Peaking for critical focus....

Great, great job, Andy. A very good and comprehensive tutorial. In today's time, when people seek shorter and faster content, this is a contrasting example of how to approach a topic, and it is truly worth my time to watch it. The reason for this because this presentation using live examples and it provides a deeper understanding of the topic. Many Olympus "ambassadors" have often claimed something about topics without providing any serious explanations WHY is something good or not. Due to factors such as speed or lack of knowledge, many of them often skip that crucial "WHY" which is important for understanding any topic. Without that, it becomes a mechanical transmission of someone's "knowledge," which is not good, actually it is bad. That's why your videos are different and great, as it offers a comprehensive view. As a long-time Olympus user, I'm truly thrilled to have found this video and channel. I hope you will handle other topics (focus stacking, live view, ND filters, or something else) related to OM1 that are interesting and useful in the same way. Bravo. 👋👋👋

Thanks my friend for the awesome comments. I will mix this channel with wildlife stuff too but there will naturally be a lot of OM work in here. And I’m not an OM ambassador I just use the kit for my professional work. So appreciate your support.

@@Wildmanrouse Yes, Andy, I understand that you not Olympus ambassador but I mention them because I want to illustrate how some of them may poorly explain certain issues despite having that title. Keep going on! 💪

I have my camera set up as S-AF(MF) that way the initial heavy lifting if you like is done with the auto focus and I can fine tune the focus if I want manually. No need to touch the MF clutch ring

Wouldn't the Subject Detect, eye detection get through the grasses, etc? All your examples have a very clear eye.

It’s a method to use to allow people to get round the issue. We used it many times over the past three weeks in India. And all examples caused me issues which is why they are there. Anyone who relies on any subject detect is mistake
