To fix the velocity to only play at one velocity: on logic, go to inspector tap, click the 'region' dropdown menu, click on 'dynamics', click on the 'fixed' option. *may need to click on the 'more' tap within the 'region' menu to see the 'dynamics' thing*

Hey guys, some people have been having some issues with this implementation when it comes to actually recording. Make sure you put your Maschine in MIDI Mode (Shift+F1 on your actual Maschine). I thought it was due to an update but I've updated and this implementation still works perfectly fine. Logic Pro X 10.3.1 - Maschine 2.6.1. If you have any problems comment under this comment. Thanks again!

I was creating just fine for almost a year now with this work flow exactly. All of a sudden just a week pull up everything to record a drum pattern into Logic through MIDI...and no sounds at all. Best I could get was to fix to have the actual midi being recognized in the scene...but no sounds play as the curser goes by the notes. I take it off midi and I can hear the sounds per normal...but not sure how to trouble shoot this. Not being able to use it as midi for other VST's either. I was also using to to control Serato Sample in Logic...as a midi controller and now nothing...in Serato Sample it says to switch the octave...but with MIKRO there's no way to do that. I'm really stuck and haven't been able to create with this work flow for almost two weeks now

Hey thanks for this video! To fix the velocity issue just open NI control editor and in the templates section set the 'Pad Velocity Curve' setting to something softer. I like Soft 2 or 3. Stefan Guy Hi, do you have a video on how to create our own drum and snare samples in logic using esx24?
@kazumafujigen6 жыл бұрын
First of all, thank you so much for your explanation. However, I could not record those sounds even if I could press the "Record" button on Logic Pro X software. I could hear those sounds and see all mix/volume values on Logic Pro X. Now I use Maschine MK3 Ver.2.7.6. Please let me know how I can record the sounds. Besides I can't see the same words "MIDI" and "Channel" on Machine's "Group"- > "Input" page as 2:18. (My Maschine mentioned just "Key Mode(Off, Drumkit, Manual)" and ROUTINGS)). I cannot figure out how to fix the issue..

Stefan - just had to drop some gratitude. I've been f**kn around with Ableton, since I picked up my Maschine Studio, for the last month or so... I'm sure there is a way to do what you have done in this video with Ableton, but to be blunt fuck that. Logic may not be quite as "friendly" or whatever, but in Logic it seems there is always a clear cut path to get the exact result you are seeking. Also, I know that sonically there is not much difference between daws, but Logic always gives me.. really clean, imaged mixes. Anyway thanks a lot for the vid, you solved for me a monthlong quest in 15 minutes. peace - r.

@dlopour888 жыл бұрын
i would suggest looking at maschine as a loop factory, rather than a controller for a daw. instead of channeling all of maschine tracks to logic's or any daws, just make the loops in maschine and stem them out. you will save yourself a huge headache.

@stefanguy7 жыл бұрын
Hey brother. Not at all, it's a limitation with Logic. If you want each drum element on its own track you'll have to record them separately. The most important thing is that they have their own channels in the mixer. With this you can use one track in the arrange window but still mix them separately. You'll also still be able to export out every drum channel to its own audio file for stems. Even if they share the same track.

do you do a video where you can trigger individual or group of midi regions to a single or multiple maschine touch pads. For example one pad triggers kick snare hats, other pad triggers kick snare hats and say an arpeggiated synth pattern. So that your essentially triggering parts of a song with each midi pad.
