Love this kind of video. Here is a tip for anyone smoking ribs. Instead of using foil, use one of those roasting bags you use for making pot roast in. They are pretty hard to make a hole in them. They are also good for up to 400F, safe for smoking i think. I use them all the time without any problems at all. Hope this helps someone.

After decades of baby sitting and feeding a huge heavy smoker. Those times are forever behind me. A digital electric smoker is just the smartest way to go. Anyone can smoke meats or fish like a professional with these rigs. Char-Broil Digital Electric Smoker. Is the way to go. Top quality construction plus parts availability when the element eventually burns out in 5 years. Depending on use. Makes this the unit to go with.

Psyched for your smoking adventure! Love how folks improve with the art of smoking one cook at a time. For sure one thing that might help with the wrap on the brisket would be to fold in the sides before rolling it to give it a better seal. It would help you with a more consistent temperature. Great video!

I love the process but I was waiting to see the smoke ring

It may not have a heavy smoke ring but has the taste ,,, in competition smoke rings are not even really considered but Morton’s tender quick will add a beautiful smoke ring , and doesn’t alter flavor ,,,

Nice video my friend, I was contemplating over which smoker to purchase, seeing that I'm a beginner. I'm sold, from watching this video, I'll be buying the Char-Broil Deluxe Model and trying out some of your recipes for the brisket and ribs also. I even subscribed to your network.

Does it use wood? I didn’t see a Somme ring on the meat.

Greetings Forrest On Fire, I just subscribed to your channel, because the BBQ recipe got my attention, I'm from PNW I used to live in the south and fell in love with this amazing smokehouse called sonny's (I think) do you have any more recipes for sauces as for smoked chicken? Cheers!.

How long did you open smoke the brisket? And how long wrapped? Did you give the brisket another hour in open smoke?
