There's the idea of labeling the emotion and calling it out with "seems like, looks like, sounds like" and then labeling the emotion. Diffuses the negative, instead of shouting back at them. Addressing the concern with a label, and at a calm level, can hit the mirror neurons and lead them that way to calm, feeling understood. Voss's boom Never Split The Difference goes into depth about infusing conversations with warmth, labels, and mirrors.

I've paced individuals with this strategy too. It works, sometimes. However, I think there's a thin line between calmly expressing your genuine displeasure at their outburst (especially if they are in the habit of doing that), and pacing their outburst, so you can lead them. We should allow ourselves to be human, but with wisdom (knowing when to apply what you know). *A voice message would have done justice to this post 😅*

Thank you so much for your great videos, I've learned a lot, as an engineer I really really need to work on this aspect of my life being introvert person where I almost hate to even talk to people, I need this for my wife and my future, the best part is when I try to shout back to get in same peace with her, then she would be more calm.

Take it from me (a woman), women just want to be heard and understood. Instead of shouting back, try showing her that you hear and understand what she's saying. If a conversation has gotten to the point where she's shouting, that indicates you've missed something of importance (to her) that she's been trying to communicate. Slow things down and show her you're listening and willing to take what she's saying seriously. (I note my answer comes 2 years after your original comment. I hope there's less shouting and more listening since then. 😉)

Oh my god! Sir, you just have me a very important answer. Thank you so much. This is the first time I looked into LNP. It explained my untypical obsession with this teacher and he, by the by, said LNP to an interviewer and it niggled at me. Now I get it! 💡

This works well for me as a tradesman talking to customers. Have only recently discovered nlp and found I naturally pace and lead people. On a side note have you done much with CBT and does it tie in well with NLP
@DamonCart3 жыл бұрын
CBT is like a cousin of NLP, similar but not the same. I've done therapy with therapists who used CBT with me but I'm not trained in it.

I have been in phone sales selling expensive programs for 20 years and am always #1 and I watched ONE of your videos and immediately followed. It was the video about using the word “if” to unlock all of the possibilities and to expand their “map”. Would you please do a video on some of the best few really strong NLP techniques to use over the phone?

Hi Janine. Thank you for subscribing. I've done several videos over the years on persuasion and influence techniques, most of which can be used on the phone. Here's one of them: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apyxo3mqlp2FbpI

Hey, I watched your pickup videos. You've any idea what % of numbers did you close ? And often did you close on first dates or receive LMR when the girl's back at your place ?
@DamonCart3 жыл бұрын
In general I figured half the women I approached would give me their phone number. Half of those phone numbers would turn into dates. My average was a bit better than half, but I could always count on at least half. As far LMR, overall I think it's better for you and for her to think of this differently than the pickup community approaches it. Instead of looking at it as overcoming an objection, it's better if you validate her concerns and make her feel safe and secure and always make space for her to walk away without you being angry with her. No one likes to feel pressured. If she sleeps with you because she feels pressured, you're likely never to see her again. Let her know you're cool with it either way, tell her you understand her concerns whatever they might be. Assure her without sounding desperate that it's all going to be fine. You'll be amazed how well this works. Make sure you're sincere about it though. She's a person. Treat her like you would want to be treated.

@@DamonCart Cool. Most guys who get LMR don't set strong sexual frames in the interaction & pull under weak 'afterparty' frame. Btw how many nights did you go out then ? And who were the guys you looked upto ?
@DamonCart3 жыл бұрын
@@jotarokujo3759 Instead of focusing on the outcome so much. Focus on enjoying yourself and being satisfied with the experience no matter what happens. This will intrigue her and no matter what you'll be happy with the outcome. Being too focused on the outcome will make you seem desperate, which will repel her. At first I was going out a lot at night, but I really don't like clubs and you're also stacking the odds against you. Women are expecting to be hit on in that scene and for good reason. You have a lot of competition. I shifted to day game, which was so much better. I also got some one-on-one coaching with Liam McCrae of the Natural Lifestyles, which was very helpful. Then I did there residential in Australia, which was amazing. I learned a lot. James Marshall didn't coach until the last day but his coaches are top notch. I still keep in touch with them. I've even coached some of the coaches, but not on pickup. Listen to those guys. Alex is great too. I interviewed him in Budapest on one of my vlogs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKrZqHyEebF4g9U My advice is go natural and do daygame.

@@DamonCart English is only my third language so apologies in advance. Anyways I think you've mistaken for me a beginner! I'm currently at 165 lays. I started pickup after reading Paul Janka's attraction formula in 2019 March. Unfortunately I was little too late into pickup. Todd & RSD removed all their infields, Bradicus, Street attraction & many popular pickup channels were nuked. 140 of those came in the past one year. It was exactly an year back I started nightgame. I torrented many pua programs and watched their Infields. Since I was simultaneously taking action, I had epiphany after epiphany. Fortunately Pandemic didn't really hit Russia that hard, so clubs were open for the most part. I made friends with top players in Moscow and winged with em. I also visited India for 2 months and Miami for awhile during this time on business trip. In Miami I hung out with some top guys I found online which further helped me level up. While I was doing all this, I had 2-4 rotation chicks any time, expanded my portfolio, learnt copy writing skill, bought farm lands, got into real estate while working as a sales head in insurance. In my opinion daygame doesn't have bang for buck. You've to keep searching for hot girl which makes it look low value and needy when you come across the girl. This can eliminated by approaching women in large gathering during the day. I also thought the same about night game. That's why didn't do a single nightgame session during the first year. However it's way more easier to sexualize during the night. Girls also go there to get banged. So it's easier to pull from clubs. Also there are many hot girls in large venues. Yeah, amogs, orbiters & cockblocks can be frustrating, But thats what challenges you to foster growth as a man isn't it ? It helps you improve your skill set, develop solid inner game and master social matrix. Most of the guys in the pickup community don't get past beginner phase or intermediate purgatory exactly because of opposite of what you said. They lack outcome. They don't know what they want, can't express their intent or sexuality because they play to not lose. That's what makes em needy and creepy. The guys who're really good with women are goal driven. Imagine if a sales trainer or fitness trainer says results don't matter, trust the process, without giving you a structure! Only in the pickup community that floats. You find enjoyment in the process that leads you towards the goal and striving to get better. This prevents you from having state crashes or going on a downward spiral which I'm sure RSD and Natural lifestyle guys experience a lot. But I would agree with things like being carefree and reframing rejections as opportunity to level up. You gotta develop analytical thinking, social intelligence and emotional intelligence in order to succeed at the highest level. I think the reason mainstream pua companies like RSD, Natural lifestyles teach woo-woo is because either they aren't really advanced themselves or it's to upsell more products and bootcamps. These feel good speeches keep clients on hamster wheel while giving them an illusion that they're getting better. Unfortunately these charismatic speakers sell more than than guys that genuinely get you results. I was looking for speed seduction amd that's how I came across your pickup video on my recommendation. Btw I'm surprised when you said you look upto natural guys. I thought as an NLP guy, you would look upto Ross Jeffries & mystery. Anyways one of my friend attended James Marshall's 10 day program and said none of the students got laid in his program even once. Was the that same when you attended their residence as well? I was gaming in the same club Todd V was doing his bootcamp in Miami & none of the students pulled in his program either. Funnily enough coaches that get you laid on night 1 usually don't have online presence. I have assisted few bootcamps with these guys and have personally fixed the student's sticking points and helped em pull in a single nightgame session. These legit coaches are also not sought after because they don't have charismatic speakers like RSD Tyler who can talk for hours without saying nothing. The only guys with online presence that I respect would be John Anthony & Bradicus.

@@jotarokujo3759 you obviously don't need my advice then. I studied Ross's stuff in college way back in 1997 and it worked. I stopped doing it when I got into a long term relationship and eventually married the same woman. When we split years later I picked up Ross's material again. At this point I had already learned NLP. I didn't like it. The same with Mystery and all of the indirect game. It felt like I was pretending to be someone else. Authenticity is a very high value for me and it indirect just felt cringy. When I found the Naturals it was perfect for me. I wanted to be open and direct about communicating my desires and to do it without desperation. It felt congruent. You're right that it aligns well with personal development and that's exactly what I wanted. Sex is great. Nothing wrong with it but you can only get so much fulfillment from it just like eating a delicious meal. Within ten or 15 minutes you're full and the pleasure ends. I got into pick up not just for sex but to overcome my fears of approaching women, to discover truly what I want in a woman, and to have choice in my dating life. I got everything I wanted including meeting my current wife so I exited the game. Your journey is different than mine. As for the residential I did with the Naturals, I was the only one in a group of 8 who succeeded, but to be fair I had already been practicing and most of the guys had never even approached a woman once. You're probably right that for beginners the Naturals are great. If you want to make a lifelong mastery, as with anything else, you need to learn from more than one teacher.
