The Internet has many articles that advocate pushing a valve preamp with a boost pedal but very few that even mention pushing a digital amp with one - invaluable article, thank you.

What i wanna know is why didnt he set the amps up so that theyre both cooking equally. He jus kinda left one in a cleaner place than the other. Imo i think a treble booster w an od would work rly well into the silverline

Totally agree, he keeps saying that we're hitting preamp harder on the 10 watter.. unless he's changed the boost settings for each amp, then he's surely hitting the preamp on both amps the same. Why didn't he set the Silverline so it was just before breakup (like the 10 watter) so a boost would take it over the edge? Its a digital amp with a master volume ffs. Hate to say it but the guy is clueless

I know the silverline has built in effects and all that, but I was wondering if its possible to use analog pedals with it? I tried but it seems they dont work that good together don't they?

Generally, drive and distortion pedals sound best w/ tube and solid state amps. Digital amps tend to compress the signal and either make pedals sound somewhat muted or fizzy.

studio 10 already has a builtin ht pedal,

Hey Leigh , I thought the silver line was a solid state instead of digital.
@iliana_b3 жыл бұрын
isn't that the same thing?
@MrRafaztar3 жыл бұрын
@@iliana_b not quite, digital means there is a some sort of software running, like a modelling unit, while solid state is analog with capacitors and transistors and switches

I believe the Silverline series have a SHARC DSP so they’re digital if I’m not mistaken.
