Texturing the top is so relaxing for me. Sometimes I've got to tell myself "girl, quit playing with it". I was planning an orange pachouli soap this morning and sneezed into a jar of atomic orange mica mixed with iron oxide. I decided "nope, not today" and decided to watch soapy videos instead.

Pine Tar is something that is not available in my country. However cool tar is and apparently they have the same properties. I've been using a balm with cool tar on my feet for my eczema and in a week it cleared up. I'm definitely going to use it in soap and also order the pine tar on amazon. Will try to get this exact brand you used as the other brand seems pretty thick. Even though I'm now watching this video, the highlight of the day for me is I work up, Thank God; finished cooking lunch since 10 am and I'm now packaging and labelling soap bars while watching soap making videos on you tube. ♥️🤍🖤🇹🇹

Good Morning Beautiful! I can't handle the smell of pine tar. I have the same problem with Neem. They are both really amazing ingredients in soap..maybe I will try again one day. I had a rescue dog that lost all of her hair before I got her and I used pine tar and sulfur on her and her hair came right back. Lemon and lime smells are my favorite. It stanks to high heavens, but it does keep the hair on you! Lemon and lime is always delicious, but sis!!! Spearmint just gets me...Yummm!! I'm so happy you got to hangout with your mom. No claims made here but they had teen acne and greasy skin and I did not. I believe it is still in some soaps and shampoos today so must have something going for it. I believe in the phrase K.I.S.S as in keep it simple st..... the less chemicals and unnecceassry additives the better. Ahhh that is it, Wrights coal tar soap!!! Still sold today. X x x

Yes sis, it does smell medicinal, not nasty. I actually don't mind the smell of it now, and Gabe loves it! I switching this one out for my new face soap, so I'm excited! Also, yes, less is more sometimes!!

I've made this soap twice and it stinks so bad lol. I have noticed using peppermint and eucalyptus help tone down that specific smell. Some people do love it though.

After curing did the lime hold it’s scent? I’m looking at oils to add to my pine tar soap and was wondering if lime performs like other citrus does in CP soap?

Lime stays nicely in the soap even after months. To help anchor it, try using a bit of kaolin clay and mix your eo with before adding to your batter.
