When the title said stick I thought it was going to be like a piece of a tree. This is the most high tech stick I've ever seen.

Ha! Man, let me tell you, that is a carbon fiber tripod extension rod. It feels sooo good in the hand. I’ll be getting another one to beat up and see how much it actually can take with impact. About $20 from Amazon. Not a weapon, right? Carry just about anywhere. The use of one of the sticks around us there would have resulted in some serious skin tearing and throat and eye gouging. Sticks were a bit rough to demonstrate with and I didn’t want to mark up or make my student bleed for the filming. She needs to be in good shape for our short film, now that Ohm’s foot is getting better for us to choreography again.

Great primer to subject. Looking forward to more on this. I think the size of the baton translates easily to a lot of improvised defensive items. I am old enough to remember when rolled up magazines where a big subject. Now you would be hard pressed to find a magazine out there. Thank you for the vid.

You're welcome. And you are def right regarding finding a newspaper to roll up - ha. Yeah, that was a thing at one time :) There's truly some great functionality that comes out of something so simple and available in many environments. More to come on it in future vids.
