Awsome!! I have the Sony XLR-K3M with a XLR microphone. Will I also get the recording from that mic? Some people say that the Tentacle sync TC block other audio. If this works I will get rid of my Sony dual channel receiver and get Tentacle lavs.

Hey thanks for the video! What FPS are you setting it as? It seems like the FX3 doesn't have 23.98FPS and only has 24FPS.

Hi! Sorry about the delay. It defaults to 23.976 but of course lots of confusion around what it calls it. They did release a firmware update supporting a true 24 fps but the standard setting i 23.976.

For synchronizing multiple cameras one still needs to have the Sony sony vmc-bncm1 cable, right?
@PaulLundahl11 ай бұрын
Not if you use Tentacle sync devices which ws the subject of this video. Just put a device on all cameras and audio recorders and use the Tentacle app to synchronize them all.

What about the headphone monitoring? You hear the TC ?
@PaulLundahl11 ай бұрын
Sorry, yes, unless you can set up a system to just hear the scratch audio channel. Now though with the new sync cable and firmware updates, you can record the TC as an embedded track leaving all four audio channels for recording quality sync sound. (see above for links to the cable)

What're your settings?

I just used the same setup, and the timecode is in the file. For some reason the Sync Studio is not syncing the files to other cameras. Looking at the timecode, it is correct and matches with other cameras. I have it on channel 3, and I can head the timecode fine :/
@PaulLundahl11 ай бұрын
Did you choose audio timecode? If not it was looking for timecode as a separate track in the metadata of the video (not sure if that's an accurate description, but you get the idea!). Now though you can get a special cable and record the TC track as an embedded track, not as audio. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1784566-REG/tentacle_sync_c24_timecode_cable_for.html?ap=y&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A514&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA75itBhA6EiwAkho9e895sbUIUl7N883bPqnlPX1mqD-akWHmupt224sWOr8Nx3cxaMCJRxoCMkAQAvD_BwE
