I really like when they make mistakes, makes me feel normal now and not an idiot that I keep messing up lol

No other teacher would actually explain the logic behind a formula. They always just say "here's the formula, plug it in, and you have the answer" and then you have to memorize it. But this guy actually gives you the logic that allows you to reconstruct the formula when you need it so you don't need to memorize it. Amazing.

Kael Eppcohen They should give a teacher rating and review system determining their pay to some extent to motivate teachers to actually help students and try for their job. A lot of teachers dont try, but some do.

The reason why the logic is not taught is that the exercise of proof has been eliminated from the mathematics curriculum in the USA. After having taught math for 55 years, I have total disgust for the present day curriculum. Let us not forget that EVERY math theorem has a proof and this is necessary to learn if one is to seriously study mathematics.

there was a mistake. Looked and was wondering why he put 17 but while he was writing "17" he said it was twelve. While he was computing it he noted it was 17. Lol that's funny he couldn't read his own writing

WE are all human beings after all, teachers are no exception. The whole idea of this exercise is to understand the basics of how to deal with the Logs of numbers involving bases other than common logarithms.

dude but he has more experience than the rest of us(maybe...) so he shouldn't have made that mistake

Yes, there was an error, 17 vs 12.

It's great to know log base thank you! Watching in 2017 though I want to caution that updated calculators can do non-log base ten. If you are using a Ti-84 you can hit the maths button and then select a and it will give you "log (base:[blank]) ([blank])". You can input into the first blank your non base ten value and then the number you are taking the log of. I hope I can be of help!

You must put 12 not 17!!

When you do the first problem, you wrote (and calculated) ln 17 when the problem is ln 12!
@TroutSniffer697 жыл бұрын
Actually you can input a base. Use a comma after you inter the argument. Parentheses may be needed. log(4),(5) Will input log base 5 (4).

Hey man your videos have helped me a lot. You're a good teacher and you're not an overly attractive woman like that Mathbff character. She's obviously great at math too but I can't learn a damned thing from her videos... Thanks ;)
