Using TM1637 7-segment displays with SimVimX

A note about connecting voltage to electronic circuits, aleays connect the ground first before voltage. In many plug in pc boards, you might see the voltage pin is shorter so that ground pin makes contact first.

@philnelson2364 Good point, I've never read that anywhere except when jump starting vehicles What I should do is disconnect the Mega's USB cable until I finish connecting everything but I always forget 🙄

@@Qosmokid Same thing with vehicles and, I always forget to remove power to the mega before turning off the power supply. The 7 segments go crazy. Same thing when I forget to turn on the power supply before powering up the mega then, for a few seconds, wonder why the 7 segments look dim and display garbage. I might create a power board to turn on power supply before the mega and reverse when powering down. One switch for both supplies.

This almost reminds me of my Commodore 64 days when you had to turn on the computer and 1541 floppy disk drive in a certain order or risk damaging the drive.

Well, i was about ready to give up when I figured out that my browser, Edge, blocks the CFG file from running so I have to make sure that I keep the file. i may try Firefox to see if there are any issues there, but this gives me hope! I have a laser cutter now and want to use that to make my panels!

@DaveWrightKB9MNM oh that's good Dave, can't wait to see how they turn out. I've used all three browsers and never had a problem. If you get that security warning/block. All you have to do is click on download anyway or something like that.
