Many not know about the virtual desktops as well. You can create one by using Win+ctrl+D. You can close current virtual desktop by Ctrl+win+F4. You can switch through various virtual desktops by using Win+alt+left or right arrow keys and can rename them by pressing Win+Tab and renaming them manually.

@NERDfirst6 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your comment! This depends on what laptop you're using. If you're using a HP like I have, there is a little area on the upper left corner of the touchpad. Give it a double-tap and that should re-enable the touchpad. Other manufacturers will probably use one of the Fn keys.

Hi. I'm watching this video because I somehow broke my mouse and I am going to buy a Logitech Mouse with a receiver but I need to use Unifying to download so I needed to watch this video. How do you click with the cursor on your keyboard with the arrows near NumLock? Also can you connect your mouse with a receiver WITHOUT unifying or anything? Just automatically works. Sorry for long question, hope you'll respond

Hello and thank you for your comment! When you're using Mousekeys (which I believe is what you're doing), you can press the "5" key to click. I'm afraid I have no experience with the Unifying platform so I can't say! It's proprietary technology by Logitech... Usually wireless stuff are just plug and play.

Does Shift + Arrow Keys allow you to highlight multiple files in Explorer? My mouse is broken and registers holding left-click as multiple rapid-clicks, so my usual method of holding left-click and dragging the mouse to highlight multiple files no longer works.
@NERDfirst7 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your comment! Yes it does! Of course, you wouldn't be able to select multiple files that are not side by side (like when you press ctrl and click), but this does help you select a group of files. Hello and thank you for your comment! This is a bit difficult, though possible. You have to figure out where the invisible cursor is, then essentially do this same thing - Ctrl+Shift+left or right to make a selection. It's not the best solution and maybe mousekeys would be a better choice in this regard.

Hello and thank you for your comment! I believe it works correctly, you just have to TAB many times to get there. Hello and thank you for your comment! If the mouse is new and hasn't been subject to any torture (spills or hard knocks), then it might just be a dirty sensor or a dirty sensing surface. Use a mousepad instead of putting the mouse directly on the tabletop. And perhaps give the bottom of the mouse a quick wipe down.

14 is definetly wrong, win+up maximizes windows
@NERDfirst8 жыл бұрын
+Carniceir01 Hello and thank you for your comment! "Restoring" a window refers to "un-maximizing" a window, that's what Win-Down does. Maximization with Win-Up is covered under point 12.

+lcc0612 "14. Restore a maximized window by pressing Win-Down" what does that do again?
@NERDfirst8 жыл бұрын
+Carniceir01 It "un-maximizes" a maximized window. That is, it _restores_ the window to a smaller size, "floating" in front of other windows. Same function as if you clicked the button on the left of the red x, if the window was already maximized.

+Carniceir01 Hmmm... Perhaps describing this isn't the best way forward. Here, I've cobbled together a quick screen capture. Let me know if this is clearer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4GbqYmKqcurfMk

Can you turn it off
@NERDfirst6 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your comment! Yes you can. Use alt+F4 to close whatever program is open. If you press alt-F4 on your desktop, the shut down menu pops up.

The only problem I have is that you talk too fast. You have to know that if I was watching this video that I was needing information and needing to remember it so I had to play it over and over and over which is not good takes too much time LOL don't be in a rush to speedtalk it reminds me of speed reading nobody understands except for the person who's doing it LOL
