Great video as usual Ashley. I have the Xjet-M5 and it is brilliant for doing the job you have just shown. I have the handle of my lance configured in such a way that I can swop lances very quickly . I have several lengths of lance with different fittings and also a pipe clearing hose which can be connected to the handle. I use a short lance with the Xjet-M5 so I can reach the turn off tap and nozzle easily works really well. Good demo of the Xjet-M5 i highly recommend it.

Nice one thanks. Yes, I’ve got a few different lances, some with m22 screw threads and some with quick release. It can get a bit confusing. I should have them all on the same fittings really.😃👍🏼

Been using the X-Jet here in the states for a long time. We don't have that bottle attachment here though for the X-Jet. I use the X-Jet with the siphon to rinse mostly and there's an X-Jet M5 Twist without the siphon tube that sprays at a lower pressure than the regular X-Jet. I use it for applying chemical to the house through my downstream injector for house washing. The X-Jet with siphon has more pressure and it shuts off the downstream injector so I switch between the two tips to do the house wash without having to turn off chemical feed at the pump.. Love the videos, Ash Keep them coming.

It’s nice when you get a cup tea and cake. I do find the flat surface cleaner a bit flat on a 14 lpm machine. Looks like the 21 lpm does a great job 👍

You can always remove the long wand from the trigger assembly and add a quick disconnect directly to the handle so you can quickly switch out from the wand extention to the x-jet or j-rod etc.

Thanks! I will keep going. Yeah, I work mostly with M22 fittings. Some tools I use on quick release fittings but they don’t last as long. All hypo is pretty much the same, just check the strength and quantity against the price.😉👍🏼

Hi Ashley, What surfactant do you use? I typically buy a 25L barrel of hypo and not too sure what surfactant and how much to put into the barrel to make it more foamy. At the moment its coming out like water with a bit of bubbles here and then. I use a 15lpm machine putting the revs low using the black tip making it a 4/1-5/1 ratio. Thank you in advance! Don’t adjust the revs too low, maybe only just a touch down from maximum revs. I get surfactant from the same place I usually get hypo. Binnymans.co.uk or softwash uk or the blast away website.👍🏼

Brilliant video! Came across your channel whilst searching for similar systems. Am I right in thinking the xjet doesnt require you to dilute the chemical in the barrel first? Its sucked up neat then mixed through the nozzle using the pressure washer water?

Yes, it mixes with water in the head. The strength is determined by the little coloured insert.😃👍🏼

It's good for the occasional chemical spray, but if you're applying SH with any regularity, get a proper and separate pump system. The X-Jet is a lot of work, the little bits that control the venturi effect can get lost or damaged easily and it's not overall that accurate when it comes to measurements. A good back-up piece, I'd say.

Yes, good shout. The Xjet is great for this kind of application, but I prefer a pump system for biocide applications. More accurate, like you said.😃👍🏼

Hi Ashley, I hope you are enjoying Amsterdam! Got the x-jet yesterday 🎉 Got a question though. A customer of mine asked me to jet wash a render but I would prefer to spread Hypo over it. Unfortunately the render is facing garden where an artificial grass is laid down! I am a bit concerned if I use hypo and could damage the grass. Does the Hypo bleach the artificial grass? Have you got any experience with that? Many thanks

I’ve never had an issue with hypo on artificial grass. I always am very careful though. Wet the grass first and thoroughly rinse it after. You will only need a weak mix. Have you considered using biocide instead? It won’t harm the surface at all.👍🏼

It mixes it for you. Depending on which colour insert you use, it changes the strength of the mix.👍🏼

Wet the surrounding area with water first, apply it carefully, and make sure the rinse off the surrounding plants etc thoroughly afterwards.👍🏼

Maybe slightly, but if you turn down the revs or pressure you can effect the strength of the mix coming from the nozzle.

Hi Ash I've just brought an xjet, but when I'm trying to put down the hypo it not pulling up through the pipe up to the xjet. The waters going down the pipe and on to the tube of hypo. Any ideas??

Not sure what’s going on there? Make sure the end is actually submerged in the fluid. It can sometimes get air trapped in it.
